That reverand does make some fairly decent argumentsbraindead_hero

That comment is so disturbing I won't even comment it. That's a great view for the leader of our country...

Since when was Rev. Wright Barack Obama?MattUD1

Only his greatest influence for 20 years. So I guess it wouldn't hurt Mccain if he was involved with the KKK for 20 years, because he's not the Grand Wizard...

Am I the only one disturbed by Barack Obama's obviously anti-white, anti-American background? I never see anyone questioning it, challenging it, only (oddly enough) ignoring it.

For example, Barack has attended a church spewing hate against whites, he attended that church for 20 YEARS!! His pastor condemns America, blames America for 9/11, calling us "less than human," saying the US is influenced by the "KKK," it's really amazing... and scary. This pastor is the one who married Barack, and has been deeply involved in Barack's life for 20 years. Don't believe me? Check it out. (video)

So, please tell me, why is this not a problem? I don't expect to change anyone's mind here, I'm just looking forward to the inevitable excuses everyone's about to make for Obama. This should be entertaining.

how many women and children were killed? oh wait. none of you americans care._ps34me_

Very intelligent post. How many women and children were killed before we removed Sadaam (that dictator you seem to support). Check it out, educate yourself for a change. The massive civilian casulties are result of terrorist attacks, IED's and suicide bombings. The Iraqis are the ones who have no regard for anyone's safety, American's aren't drinking Iraqi baby's blood. But, I appreciate how trendy your view is. A reeaal conformist.

[QUOTE="Erasorn"]How the hell did the sport come to be called "Soccer" instead of Football in america? :? Man, I better investigate this madness..mfrank0607

Short form of association football is what I keep hearing...

Association... That's just what I hear... I call it nogomet (Croatian for 'football')

I don't know why football is called football, it should have been called something else

Like "The Arena," and instead of guys running around with a football, it would be one man running around with an axe surrounded by lions and tigers.

Soldiers follow orders. They're busy defending themselves against attacks from terrorists than to consider if the entire campaign is good or evil.

Welkabonz

Yet many still retain opinions.

Agreed. Soldiers will have their own personal experiences of their deployments that will shape their opinions. They also have their own philosophies on good and evil that will measure against their conscience. Also, there is a religion aspect to take into account- a Catholic will feel more remorse than an Athiest. However, the moral implications of the war in Iraq is totally off topic and has nothing to do with the thread. We're talking about what makes something good, and what makes something evil. We're not trying to decide if the war is good or evil.

[QUOTE="ViolentPressure"]It's kind of funny, with my job, I get paid to do absolutely nothing and I make more than twice what any of them make, just working part time.ViolentPressure

No, it's not funny. What IS funny is picturing you having to work a real job, inevitably. Good luck.

Well, im still a Student and doing nothing is exactly what my part time job requires me to do. It's not that I am lazy, it's just that I found, what is probably the best part time entry level job in the country.

Oh and actually, I do an absolutely fantastic job, because nothing bad has ever happened, can you guess what I do?

Ah, I take it back then. If you get paid that much doing that little... a drug dealer? Prostitute?

Do the soldiers think that the terrorists are evil, or do they think that the terrorists are a threat to our nation's security?Welkabonz

[QUOTE="RiSkyBiZ-13"][QUOTE="Silenthps"]

If you repeatedly tell the truth - people will trust you more

If you never steal - people will trust that you wont take their goods

If your non violent - people will feel safe around you

--------------

If you repeatedly lie - no one will trust you

If you repeatedly steal - no one will trust you with their goods

If you repeatedly kill - no one will feel safe around you

-------------

Yes, i think good and evil exist. And there's an example of how you can tell. If you take anything and imagine it being done many times, if the outcome is positive, chances are its a good thing. And vice versa.

Silenthps

That isn't necessarily proving anything about the existence of good and evil. you're simply showing the standards of most civilized countries' societies and what they currently believe.

So you don't think its completely natural for a human to not trust a person who has never told the truth in their life?

I think it's completely natural. I would personally not trust them. I am a very skeptical person, and I don't trust many people at all, but all of that is off topic. Just because I personally don't trust a liar doesn't mean that lying is EVIL. What is evil? That is the topic.
