8500GT isn't low end enough? =P

ATLReppa770

8500gt is around $90-100 and i think soon we will see a 8200 or 8300 and hopefully its going to be less than that GT!

im sorry but the 8200 and 8300 cards are OEM and will only be found in pre made PC's like HP and Dell's

you will not be able to but the 8300's 8200's and 8400's in stores. the 8500GT is Nvidia's low end.

what does oem mean? I am looking at the 4200+ x2 but it is oem not retail...what deos that mean?

OEM means that it is factory installed, like HP computers Vista Software are OEM. Original Equipment Manufacturer.

so how is an oem processor from newegg different from retail?

I currently have the amd 64 3200+ and an x300se video card..I would like to upgrade before i go to college and have narrowed it down to the x2 3800+(2.0ghz) or the x2 4200+(2.2gh).  The 3800+ is only $90 while the 4200+ is $135, so are the extra .2 ghz worth 45 bucks? And for a cheap, reliable video card(im considering dx 10) what would you suggest? Thanks for your time.

I wanna get a dx10 card for as cheap as possible but could someone tell me how these two cards could play some of the popular games out with a 3200+ 2gh, and 2 gigs of ram. Thanks for your time.
