Hi

I have noticed that when playing games with component cables on 1080i i get a line across the screen, happens more when play ps2 or ps 1 games but noticed it a bit on ps3 game like ninja geiden demo, its like a line that looks like the screen is cut or uneven or something, anyone know anything?

Actually, yes I do too. I'm not quite sure what ur line looks like, but mine is like a discolored line of pixels that splits the screen vertically. I see it when I'm watching dvds, or playing games...

Really not sure what this is? What type of TV do you have?

Just recieved they "May 2007" of PcWorld Magazine only to find some very pleasing news about our beloved PS3!

They published an article called "High-Def Video Superguide", and included the Xbox 360's HD-DVD add on and the PS3's Blu-Ray Player. Here is what they found...

Overall, they provided an in-depth analysis of the two forms (HD-DVD and Blu-Ray), and concluded that Blu-Ray generally outperforms HD-DVD and is a better buy.

Next they test several Blu-Ray players, and tell which ones are worth the buy, and rank them accordingly. The Sony Playstation 3 is ranked 4th overall in Blu-ray players!

Here is what else it said...

"The dramatically sloped Playstation 3offers a far better movie experience-though... for now, the PS3 is the cheapest Blu-Ray player around.. The Ps3 produces terrific high-definition video, and has some pleasing movie centric touches"

Some of this stuff I already knew, but the rest I was happy to hear!

720p to 1080i isn't really and "upgrade" -- am i right?

From what I've heard, they are virtually the same things.

Plus, with the Boomerang, the sixaxis would feel a little more realistic.

Idk, for me, if I am spending that much for a PS3, I want to take advantage of its capabilities... so I bought and HDTV. But i know those things costs money, so maybe its something you could save up for.
