Even as a PS3 fan -- I have to admit that if I went into a store and was about to invest in say... an expensive, outdated DVD player, that I knew nothing about. I would hope to God that the salesperson would tell me what he thought about it, and impart some knowledge onto me. I am in no way saying that a Playstation 3 is an "expensive, outdated DVD player" -- seriously, but I am saying that it is more-than-helpful for an employee or manager to try to help customers with the best intentions (and it sounds like this guy did) - especially if the buyer seemed inexperienced (which albeit, is the only way to describe a mother in a video game store).
The bottom line is, all of this talk about taking the issue to court and what not, is completely ridiculous. Only in America would kids mistake honest advice for hate crimes... :(
I am going to get a PS3 in the near future, but I wanted to invest in a nice television first so that I could take advantage of all (or most) of what the PS3 offers.
I purchased this television, could someone make sure it has all I need to play the Playstation, and whether or not these are good specs:
