How long has it been since there was a game that had motion-sensing as one of its big hype points? I think even Sony is having trouble believing in it. Verge_6

I'd agree, as a mater a fact the 6-axis controller/function is so memorable that until this forum I had completely forgotten it existed on the Controller. In this day and age of advertisements upon advertisements, it would seem Sony is doing a piss poor job of reflecting it's supposed strengths!

In all honestly, I think these systems are always to expensive; however if you do happen to purchase one, either the PS3 or 360 and find value in it and use it for more than just a year to 3 then it has paid its self off. If you have the cash to dish out and seriously consider yourself a gamer then getting a next Gen system shouldn't come down to price but style. I own all three systems, each with it's own purpose if you will. My 360 dominates right now. The 360's on-line is superior, the controller is Superior, the games are there, I can't complain about a thing. If Sony decided to create a better on-line service and charge 50 buck I wouldn't mind, as long as it worked. I see my PS3 mostly as a Blu-ray player. In fact, I may just return it and buy a blu-ray player because I see no true value in it. My Wii, is my kids Wii and thats it's value. I'm old school and this is the new school version of what I started with. Again, don't bother yourself with price, instead consider the value and your needs!

It may not be common knowledge. My buddy bought one also, and didn't know it wasn't backward compatible. He didn't care, because he bought it for PS3 games, but I can see how you may not have known. Sadly as of right now there is no way to play ps2 games on a 40Gb PS3.msharki

It was a Black Friday purchase, the salesman said it was compatable, mostly compatible like the 360! I figured mostly was the best I was gonna get. I didn't realize mostly meant PS1 games. What'eva, stuck with it now! Thanks for the insight guys!

Ok Now I'm not trying to go off the deep end here, but part of the reason I bought my PS3 was to play some of my old ps2 games. I never really cared for one system or another, I'm not a fan of either just a fan of what works and what provides the best bang for my buck! I don't know how many of you out there remembers Zone of the Enders I and II but those to me were the best damn games I've ever played. Why would they strip me of the right to play them just because I bought the 40 gig PS3? Seriously, I payed so much freaking cash for this system and I can't play my old PS2 games? It's a joke right, someone tell me I was miss lead and that I can play any of my PS2 games.

thats right, I don't remember any type of mic. set up for the Wii, Hmm! Well I gotta say that's really disappointing. I bought the Wii for my Kids, honestly my sons the only one that plays it. Think he can wait till the XBOX720 Comes out and he inherits my 360 to go on-line :D

I own all three systems and currently have my PS3 and 360 connected only. The PS3 is pointless to have on-line simply because I don't have any games I wish to play on-line and that it's very difficult to find friends and invite them, etc. Is the Wii the same way? I guess What I'm asking is: Is there any real reason to connect it on-line? I know I can get the old games, but I have an emulator on my PC so who cares. Is there lots of games with on line play can you chat with friends, is it easy to connect? Anyone have any insight to whether or not this is worth my time? Is the Wii's on-line system well thought out or is it just there for you to figure out?

[QUOTE="CoreoVII"]Best purchase you could make for feb. just remember......the game punishes noobs who do the same combo over again. have a blast_Dez_

I don't know, I'm finding this game to be pretty easy in difficulty right now. It's a lot more accommodating to newer players, which is great for them, but even on the Devil Hunter difficulty, the enemies are so docile that they hardly put up much of a fight.

I've done about 8 missions so far, and Nero definitely has a lot of abilities to work with, though with no weapon switching like Dante, this game feels a lot more like the first DMC. Instant reving keeps battles interesting and the bosses are really enjoyable, which is good since we have to fight them three times before the game ends.

I agree "HUMAN" seams too easy at the moment, but Mission 8 is still early on. I don't agree with the notion this is the best game ever or what not. I feel that this game is dated and brings nothing new to the genre. As a mater a fact not, there really hasn't been any thing fresh for a while. I can only imagine no one wants to get screwed on a chance but DMC is DMC nothing new! Honestly I'm already board of it and I can't see my self going through it again. There just isn't any incentive. Unlike Mass Effect. I know the games aren't related; however my opinion stems from the fact one has replay value were one desperately trys to hold on to it's value once more.

I prefer the M4. That thing is a beast.gasmaskman

:xActually I feel the MP5 is a better gun than the M4, and maybe your religious belief's or lack there of can stay off of the boards.

Honestly, I really feel that I bought into the hype of assasins creed. Ubisoft did its job and managed to sell me their game which is average at best.

Dont get me wrong, my jaw was on the floor when i first played it. Truley breathtaking graphics. A week passed by though and I realised that I'm just repeating the same thing over and over again.

Now repetition isnt that bad really and some game disguise it really well. Assasins creed's repetitivness showed and it got boring very quickly for me. I havn't touched assasins creed in like a month. I thought about just doing my own thing and not worrying about objectives. Maybe thats how its meant to be played. that got boring for me as well. Wondering around aimlessly is not something anyone should have to do in a game. I can do that in real life and I often do in London. I just wonder around with friends, its good to get out and about and its alot more exciting than doing that in a game.

So im a victim of hype. I dont plan on finishing assasins creed anytime soon. Its just too boring for me. Among one of the most boring games I have ever played.

What is your honest opinion of this game. If you believe its good then take a breather and see if this is not you justifying your purchase. You are not alone, I payed £50 for this game and I believe it was a waste.

P.S I normally love a good story but I really couldnt care about the story in this game.

nsoufiani

I'm the same way, I played it, loved it and just as quickly found it was nothing more then a great game riddled with repetition and crappy AI.
