This lifetime sales figures are INSANE lol Jesus Christ!!! I don't get the WiiU hate at all - I have put hundreds of hours into monster hunter and other games combined (400+ on MH alone) and when I got both Ps3 and Xbox 360 at launch they SUCKED - waiting years for good games to release!!! It wasn't until the third party good stuff came out that I put mega hours in like fallout 3, red dead, and demons/dark souls.
It didnt say they GAVE the money away as some of these comments are alluding to. They helped raise the money through a fundraising walkathon. Big difference: of course they can just give away a huge sum of money to charitable contributions and I'm sure they do. This is applaudable and a very nice story - twist it as people may. No where does it say how much EA give to charities in here: someone give me proof that they DON'T give to any charities and ill admit I was wrong. I am not the biggest EA fan and I hate Origin and their stance on WiiU but this is a nice story and only a miserable person would make a negative comment - go do better than help raise 18k before you come on here and criticize it first.
Exactly its about the interactive experience. The story is important but its definitely not what's most important. It serves a major purpose but I want to play a game and control the character moreso than sit and watch a cutscene or whatever. It's about going on the adventure which you control.
Nintendo wouldn't allow this. That director has horrible pedigree. I would entertain a Miyazaki take but he wouldn't do it. I don't know why people are saying Pixar. That makes almost zero sense. Pixar excels because they make original stories and almost every one of their films are very American in nature. Sure their themes are universal but they all have a very Western sensibility to them. Ill just go WATCH Miyazakis Princess Mononoke and PLAY Zelda games. Lets keep it in its respective medium - the games themselves already tell fine stories.
I don't think he ever would do it but Cruise would be awesome. Anyone whose ever seen Minority Report knows that this guy does the whole science fiction techy action genre with aplomb. I could totally see him doing the role theoretically. You see him in films like Mission Impossible using various gadgets in believable fashion and the man does his own insane stunts - he's a AAA action star bottom line. I don't care for his personal beliefs but he's a fantastic actor!
Yeah right. When WiiU gets games it will be fine. Believe it or not Vita has a great library of games already. It is just too expensive, not practical for a handheld to cost that much. That's why it's not selling. WiiU has been a victim of horrible advertising and a slow launch. That's it. Killzone isn't a killer app. It's another FPS.
That's insane to say WiiU will fail. Nintendo is financially viable despite WiiUs dismal sales and they will not stop supporting the system. Both systems are having tough times but if anything, Vita is in more trouble than WiiU. It's sold virtually the same amount of units (reports for vita aren't even truthfully disclosed so even this is hazy) and its been on the market for like two years.
But perhaps one of the most telling disproofs of your theory is that in Japan - Sony and Nintendos home country - Vita sales continue to decline while WiiU sales continue to rise. That is IMO the most telling statistic.
