did microsoft make a good decision in changing their used policy, and always online stance = probably
Is keeping the $499 price tag a good move= probably, it comes with a mandatory accesory, the kinect.
Should people be so readily eager to just trust microsoft at the drop of a hat?= mmmm, probably not. They changed their policies, as of right now, out of fear and not true consumer concern.
Bottom line, be leery of a back peddler. Because, now you know microsoft's true intent. And it never was the consumer.
@Sporks_Calamity This will appeal to some. But the bigger issue with this, is that you can already upgrade the HDD of the PS3, and you will be able to do it with the PS4 as well. You will also be able to use an external HDD with the PS4, just as you are with the PS3. But with the xb 360, and xb 1 you can't upgrade your own HDD. You can only use an external HDD for the xb 1, or purchase a MS exclusive HDD for the xb 360.
Makes you wonder why MS is so precluded to making it tough on the consumer who buys their console, in reference to upgrading the HDD on their own. Hmmm,...
@NorseLax09 nah, it doesn't hurt sony. Because they still do have an exclusive final fantasy to their console. final fantasy xiv. And square-enix knows they will sell more units of their games on a japanese based console, as well konami. But having it multiplatform just increases the amount of money they can make. And trust me, they realize this. Square-enix was in alot of financial trouble, and this was a way to get out of money trouble. This won't effect Sony, simply because they know people still will buy their console, and when they do, they will buy metal gear, and a final fantasy. still profitable, but now even more for the dev's.
@Alucard_Prime In the E3 press conference Mr. Yoshida announced that 20, count it, 20. PS4 exclusives were being made, 12 by 1st party teams, that were not announced at E3, that would see releases during the PS4's 1st year of release. We still have TGS, Gamescom, and a few other shows to go before the release of the PS4, so let's be patient ok. Microsoft had to fire heavy to gain a little steam, and get that bad taste out of alot of gamer's mouths with their new policies. But, it may prove that it was a one trick pony show for team xbox....
