@SilentAssassin Sony has been the better of the 2, since microsoft decided to join console gaming with xbox version 1. The consumers just respond to negativity, even alleged unproven negativity, more than they do positives. And they remember negatives, far more than positives. This generation saw Sony accused of alot of false accusations, which aided microsoft, even though the xb360 was sub par in its development (35% initial failure rate, seriously?) But that was swept under the rug, due to it being so cheap in initial price point, it was a false price that lured you in, to ultimately find out you had to pay for everything else separately. Sony was upfront with their pricing, and offered a great deal for the initial price, and even took a huge loss just to give it to consumers. But because of the negative out look on the initial price, noone cared. It's just like being falsely accused of a crime, and then later, being vindicated. Even though you may have been proven innocent in a court of law, many will still look at you as if you did the crime. And they will always keep that negativity about. your image has been tainted, you may not get employment(to your liking that is) in that city, lose certain friends, and privileges. This is what the consumer did to Sony this generation. Sony always brought an A game to the people, but many of the people have become to fickle, and frivolous to see their own blight. this is why microsoft does what it does, thru self imposed ignorance of the consumer. Don't listen to analyst, don't just take someone at their word, RESEARCH IT!
The PS4 will be cheaper all around this time. System $399, PS+ $49.99. So even with that, you are saying $448.99, before taxes. And the Xbox One is $599, even before adding in an xbox live subscription. Truthfully, the PS3 was cheaper in comparion this generation, due to the fact that it came with everything that you had to buy separately with the xbox 360, and a blu-ray drive to boot. It included built in wifi, a rechargeable controller, internet browser, bluetooth technology, the ability to upgrade your HDD on your own, without purchasing a direct add-on from Sony. And, online play was free. This is some of the reason, out of the box PS3 seemed more expensive. But, negativity is spoken of far more than positive things. So, because many grumbled and complained about the initial price of the PS3, without thinking of what was included in the actual box, it hurt Sony's image. And what did they do, they still sought to please the consumer, by attempting to add even more value. Microsoft has always, nickeled and dimed their consumer. Why is anyone shocked? We all are acting if this is something new....Think about it, the Xbox 360 launched @ $399.99 in 2005. Add in, (a then price of $49.99) for xbox live, plus a plug and play kit for $14.99, plus a network adapter $99.99, add-on hd-dvd drive $149.99, takes us to a grand total of $714.95, before tax. I don't see that being cheaper than $599, unless in math 5 has some how became more than 7, that is. Bottom line, truth is truth whether we accept it or not. Sony and Microsoft (as well as Nintendo) are in the business of making money, but we must agree that Sony(and even the Big N) care about their consumers a little more than Microsoft does. The xb1 is no different strategy than the xb360. Microsoft is doing all they can now to make it seem they are offering you something better by comparison, it's just now, many are more knowledgeable to their game, than they were this gen. I mean, they showed you their initial ntent toward consumers when they just cut the version 1 xbox cold turkey out of nowhere. This IS microsoft. If you support them, hey, that's ya business. But you can't say you didn't know.

Last generation, porting to the PS3 was the in thing. Are they just gonna port everything to the xbox one from the PS4 now?
rise, quantum break, sunset overdrive, dead rising 3, titan fall, halo, new witcher game.... hmmm plants vs zombie garden warfare, and killer instinct. Just to name a few...
@WantYouBad aren't 97% of xbox games shooters? I am tired of shooters on my 360!!! and now more of the same on xbox one!!! AAAARRRGGGGHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!! Where are the adventure games, and platformers, and decent rpgs??? tired of this western market gaming!!! EXPAND YOUR GAMING PLEASEEEE!!!
@malokevi Not the intent of the comment by soulless4. Xbox is and always has been shooter heavy. And still keeps hammering out shooters. I have a 360, and I'm tired of shooters. the only game they showed that was even interesting was killer instinct, but even then I still am leery. (Looks like a SSFIV clone with KI skins). I grew up playing Killer Instinct in the arcades and on the super nes, and I (and alot of my friends) have been waiting for this to relaunch for some time, and it doesn't look great. I would rather have had an awesome fable reveal, or some type of adventure rpg, other than the witcher AGAIN!!! I missed the games from the version 1 xbox, they showed initiative then, now its shooter every other release. And by the way, Xbox 1 is getting dead rising 3, so why bring up The Last of Us, which looks amazing by the way (Jealous much?). Kudos to Sony owners, hope its great for you all. Microsoft needs more than freaking shooters 97% of the time, more than shooter gamers in the world, unless your 14 and under that is...
