My weekend plans are to do about 80 hours of homework, 30 hours of work, and if I can...IF I CAN....I'll play some Oblivion.

You think it costs $0 to run XBL and PSN?

LazySloth718

Do you think it costs $0 to run Amazon?

No but it's their own expense related to running a store on the internet.

2 consoles connecting over the internet is not a service of Xbox Live.

That'd be a wonderful analogy if both Amazon and XBL provided the same services

It's not so much about when the PS4 releases, but what it releases with.

If they intend on, yet again, going head to head with the Next Xbox then launching late is stupid.

If they actually make a unique console that offers stuff the others don't provide then it could work out really nicely for them.

I mean the Wii came out last, and sold the most because it had stuff the other consoles did not that made it more appealing to many more people, and therefore faced less competition from the 360 and PS3.

You do realise that it costs next to nothing to let people play online for FREE right? All your doing is using YOUR OWN internet as badnwidth and connecting to another person's connection (the Host) or the other way around sometimes (if your the Host). All XBL is doing is charging you twice for the same thing, you pay for your internet each month, and then you pay again just so MS will let you have access to your internet on games that you just bought, they basically lock out your MP on your game.

It costs nothing to have FREE online gaming, and it makes your system more attractive to the consumer. I'm sorry your getting ripped off and everyone else isn't. If this bothers you (which by making this thread clearly shows it does) then either cancel your your Live subscription or just buy a PS3.

It costs virtually nothing to let people play their games over their own internet connection. p2p doesn't really cost anything, dedicated servers do though. Which ironically PSN has MORE games with dedicated servers than XBL (which is almost always p2p).

You Lems sure do get what you pay for huh? ;)

So you think it costs $0 to run XBL and PSN

On paper the PS3 controller has some nice goodies

It's just a shame it doesn't actually fit the hands like a glove as the 360 controller does.

The 360 controller is far better to use for most games.

Only reason I'd have to play this game is if I had friends with interest in it. Game seems ultra-lame to play online.

However, I have zero friends with interest in this game as most of them don't care for the PS3.

On paper it looks easy to fix Sony as a company. Just drop practically everything except Playstation, and some of your music/movie stuff.

But in reality I know it can't be that simple.

Wall Street already put Sony on death watch, and their credit rating is about the worst it can be. I just can't imagine Sony living much longer (at least not how they are now).

I forsee Sony no longer being an electronics giant in the near future.

Not as long as the PS3 is out, that's for sure... honestly I don't think Sony will start charging, free online might just be a bigger advantage over Microsoft than most people on here are inclined to believe.

Vari3ty

It might be, but it also costs hundreds of millions of dollars to operate.

I mean free made a bit more sense when PSN was bare bones years ago, but as long as they compete with Xbox Live their costs are just going to keep going up and up and up.

Have any of you played the Donkey Kong Land games? Are they worth a playthrough compared to the Donkey Kong Country ones?

whiskeystrike

Donkey Kong Land........on the Gameboy?

Those games are not good in comparison to the DKC games. There's just something about them...
