If they were to put the ORIGINAL Sega Genesis version of NBA Jam onto any device with online play I would buy that **** in a heartbeat.

It's a selling point for the PS3, so probably not in its' lifetime.

But the PS4 will probably have a monthly fee.

[QUOTE="StrifeDelivery"]

[QUOTE="SapSacPrime"] Sega... point?SakusEnvoy

Hmm..kind of backfired on me. Sega definitely had their fair share of problems the last two gens. I guess my point is that with this gen, the differences between total units sold quite relatively close to one another, compared to the previous generations, when the leader and the 2nd and 3rd place could be 80-100 million away.

Yeah, what it comes down to is that - in terms of home consoles - *no* company has been more reliable in putting out popular systems. Not Nintendo, not Microsoft, not Sega. Only Sony has a track record of putting up big numbers on their home console every time.

The PS3 is about to pass the NES in install base... the NES was Nintendo's best selling home console before the Wii came out. It pretty much says it all when Sony's worst-selling home console sells better than all of Nintendo's, minus one.

The industry is also far larger than what it was 25 years ago. It shouldn't be a surprise to see the PS3 or 360 selling better than the consoles of that era.

[QUOTE="OB-47"]

PC has farmville and facebook games.

I guess they are the casual box?

rasengan2552

PC is not a dedicated gaming device, 360 is. and they (MS) has dedicated they're their time and resources to casuals and have abandoned the core.

I like the Kinect, but nobody would call me casual if they saw my game library, so.....

Plus, what's not casual about games like Uncharted or Gears of War or God of War? They're incredibly easy to pick up and play, and give instant gratification as well.

And hell, they're advertised on tv all the time to non-gamers.

I could find many more casual games on my PC.

The 360 hasn't replaced it just yet.

Wut?

gamebreakerz__

You know what I meant.

When Alan Wake was released in 2010 the developer didn't come out and state "this game will be on the PC in two years".

Just because they didn't state it to the media doesn't mean they didn't plan to. Probably the same with Gears and ME, they would have been planned a while back before release but they didn't say it because they don't want people to wait for the PC version, they want them to buy 360's.

Well if we're just going to make assumptions then this argument is over.

Though, judging by the overwhelming amount of posters who picked apart every flaw in your logic, this argument was over a looooooooong time ago.

The company had no initial plans to ever release Alan Wake on the PC.

[QUOTE="gamebreakerz__"] Back to Karkand started on the PS3 then went to other platforms, is it exclusive?gamebreakerz__

Do you honestly believe there's zero difference between something that's announced as a timed-exclusive release, and something that is announced as exclusive?

When Alan Wake released on the 360 did people know that in two years time Remedy was going to put it on the PC?

So if the company ported the game after a week but didn't tell people it would be exclusive? THE GAME IS ON SEVERAL PLATFORMS, IT'S MULTIPLAT. End of story.

The company had no initial plans to ever release Alan Wake on the PC.

It was a new IP that began on the 360. Your logic states that the 360 is bad for new IPs because games may be released upwards of two years later for other platforms.

What logic is there in stating the 360 is bad for new IPs when so many new IPs began on the 360?

[QUOTE="AmazonTreeBoa"]Well your post is flawed from the get go. Games like Gears still count because the 360 is where the series started. Regardless if it is on PC or not, it started as a new IP on the 360.gamebreakerz__
