You just can't please some folks!
I remember just a few months ago when guys were getting rid of their PSP's because they claimed "It had no games". Funny, I have at least 30 games in my PSP library. So much for no games. At the moment I have aound 13 games for my PS3 and 13 for my 360. Currently, The Eye of Judgement has take my away from Halo 3.Â
The only thing do when it comes to multi-port games is figure out which is best for me on whatever console i.e. I pre-ordered Unreal tournament for the 360 because most of my gaming buddies are on live and I love the controller for 1st person shooters. On the other hand, fighting, action and driving are fine for me on the PS3.Â
It is obvious that the one's who claim that there are no games are either never satisfied or just have too much time on their hands. Maybe they should learn how to program so that they can create the types of games that they would like to play themselves.
Well this is a weird question...
Two completely different games, two different genres...
If you want an RPG game Folklore is great, respectively if you want Action platformer you would get Ratchet.
You can't compare them, two different "apples" ;)

I was going to say the same thing. Two totally different styles of games. I actually picked up both. You really need to ask yourself which one you want to play more.Â
You asked this question coherently, it is well written & does not attack anyone, and therefore you deserve coherent responses. Here's my 2 cents:
Am I annoyed with MS about this issue? It certainly doesn't please me, and although I've had my 360 for 9 months now, it still works fine. However, I did get 1 red bar once, and the 360 wouldn't boot up. Suffice it to say it really scared me, and I would have been very upset had it broken and I'd have to send it back and so on. Luckily after turning it off and then back on, it worked fine and has ever since. The bottom line is, the gaming business is not an easy one to succeed in, many consoles have failed in the past, and even some who were a success(i.e. PS1) have had their fair share of issues similar to what the 360 is going through now. Hopefully, MS will soon have enough experience that this problem will be resolved.
Why do people continue to stick with the 360 even after having experienced these problems? I believe the answer is quite simple, they just wanna keep playing the games it offers. Basically, I feel that all that MS has brought to the table with the Xbox & the 360(they pretty much defined online gaming, and I really appreciate that) outweighs this very nasty technical problem. And honestly, I hope the PS3 one day becomes a success, it is painful to see Sony crash and burn so hard after giving us so much with the PS1 & PS2.

Thank you very much kalazm_2000.Â
i was thinking of trading my 360 and all my stuff for a ps3 cuz i realy want to play metal gear 4 but i wanted 1 of the older ps3s cuz i wanna b able to play ps2 games on it... should i trade it... and how do i know if its the older ps3 or notFalco-88
If you like your 360, then I would suggest keeping it. I personally feel that if you have invested so much into a system and it's just a matter of patience, then it would be in your best financial interest to keep it. MSG4 may not be out as soon as might think, so you have time to save your money for a PS3 and have the best of both worlds. Also, you loose so much when you trade and you may regret your decision later down the road.
[QUOTE="andrewhateme"][QUOTE="Schlemer"]I understand that the 360 platform has some really stellar games and a really great online service. However, I can't help but notice the abundance of gamers who have had their 360's sent in for repairs. Some have even gone as far as purchasing a second 360 in order to play games while the other is out on repairs. Honestly, twice in a year may be my limit (twice in 5 years would be spectacular). So far my 360 is only two months old and I'm a casual gamer, but I do expect at one time or another to be hit with the red ring of death.
I can not believe that my launch Xbox with the dreaded Thompson drive has performed faithfully and still does today without ever needing not even one repair and it serves as my daily living room dvd player for my kids. It also gets occasional game time. Then why, would the next (and supposed, better) system be inferior in regards to quality control. Also, why do so many support it without getting angry with MicroSoft. I understand that they did a stand up thing by extending the warranty to 3 years (in regards to the rrd issue only), but that is not enough. The redesign should have been done within the first year. Why were the loyal, early adopters as well as the most recent buyers hit with such an incredible inconvenience? Honestly, MicroSoft shot itself in the foot and would not have had to loose billions if they had taken he time in getting the design of the 360 right the first time.
Anyone else really annoyed with MS about their wonderful yet faulty piece of hardware?forgot_my_name
Because companies make mistakes DUH!!! Just because Firestone had a major recall on some of there tires doesnt mean that no one buys Firestone anymore. Just because Ford makes ****ty vehicles(IMO) doesnt mean that people dont buy them. Just because McDonalds makes you fat doesnt mean people dont go there. Just cuz MS windows crashes doesnt mean people dont buy it. Just cuz planes crash doesnt mean people dont fly. Your attempt to justify an issue with a company that took a 1 billion dollar hit for its CUSTOMERS is stupid. Do you see sony apologizing for there "hard as hell to program for" and" hey we just launched this console but lets obsolete one version of it in less than a year" console?? No you dont, and thats where they will lose. Because they dont admit there mistakes. BOOOOOOYA!!!
Planes don't crash on 33% of flights, do they?
 that's a funny, yet great answer.
andre, what are you talking about? 1st, the Ford/McDonalds thing doesn't help your point. Neither does the plane analogy. Also, I am not attempting to justify anything. How do you confuse a question with justification? What is stupid though is having to take a billion dollar hit for anyone. Which is actually irrelevant because they will most likely make it all back in software puchases and sponsorship on live.Â
Anyway, I never once mentioned which games were better or what online service was superior. I was very careful in not making it about console vs console. That just happened because some automatically got defensive and considered this another "lets bash the 360" thread. That was furthest from the truth.
I also, never went out o my way to speak disrespectfully nor did I ever get angry. I did however find some good answers to my initial question, but if you're really interested I'll let you sort through the thread yourselves.
Bottom line, I really just wanted to know why people would keep buying a product (that is well known and documented) if it kept malfunctioning. Some say that it hasn't, others have stated that they would re-purchase and some are through with the console. That's pretty much it.Â
As for being accused of making people question their purchase, sorry, I really don't have that kind of power. If one is happy with one's purchase, then goody for you. That's all that is important.
It's a great system and it's American made. Need I say more?devjmoore
American designed and Chinese made. Honestly, nothing is made in America anymore except Toyotas ;)
PS3 OWNER. nuff said.
Indeed I am, as well as a 360 owner, Wii, 3 PSPs, 3 DSs, various gameboys, 2 Xboxes, 2 PS2s, 3 gamecubes, 2 Dreamcasts, 2 N64s, 1 Playstation, a Genesis and a game gear. So what's your point? Don't just read the 1st post and then reply. Follow the thread or don't bother, you may have missed something covered.
In comparing the two systems (360 and PS3) in regards to multi-plat games, I really think MSoft nailed it with the achievements. It gives games so much more value aside from the core story. It makes you want to go back and play through again for achievements missed. My 360 went down last Thursday with the RRoD and I really considered running out and getting another so that I could have it for Halo. The multi-plat games (I own both systems and WiiBTW) are more appealling on 360 for me. While I am waiting for my 360 to return, I have to decide whether or not I buy Assassin's Creed for PS3 or wait. Reading through the list of AC achievements, they look really fun, PS3 cannot offer this. Def going to wait to buy COD4 for 360. Live is definetly a better tool than PS3's online. Trust me, I am pissed that I got the RRoD. I am missing Halo multi right now and am playing Warhawk instead. I didn't buy GH3 because I didn't want to buy it for PS3 since I already have the GH2 guitar for 360. I may miss the launch of AC since I may not buy it for PS3.I will most likely not have the 360 back in time for Rock Band launch. November is arguably one of the best months for games this year and I am missing a lot of the fun not getting the games at launch. I'm definetly mad, but when it works, it is the best system out. I had mine since launch (midnighton launch)and it was perfect up until last week.mezztro113
mezztro113, while I was about to say something about not comparing the two systems, since this is not what my post was ever about. Your post makes great sense and I can understand why you would want to wait until your system was returned. I have always believed that MS consoles were the best for FPS. The controller has no equal in terms of its utter perfection. It also handles well for driving and action games. Fighting games on the other hand (for me)was its weak point. In terms of build quality, size, weight and performance it has no rival.
As for Live, I also concur with you. Many have complained about it not being a free service, but I've happily renewed my subscription year after year because of its elegance and ease of use.
BTW, why don't you just rent AC when it comes out so you don't have to miss out?
