Let me get this straight? You're xbox is working fine, but you're still pissed at MS? Geez, at least wait for it to break first. I bought mine used, and it works great. If it breaks, I'll buy another one. It's got nothing to do with loyalty. I'm a gamer, and the games are on the 360, period. I'm no longer Nintendo's target customer. They aren't even trying to sell the wii to people like me. As for Sony...they've completely abandoned the strategies that made the PS1 and PS2 successful. There is no reason to buy a PS3 unless you want a bluray player. When PS3 gets enough games to justy the purchase, I'll pick one up.
MS made a mistake and they've extended the warrentee. What else do you want from them? Besides that one issue, MS has doneeverything togive the gamer whathe/she wants. I'm am their target customer, and they are doing a fantastic job of earning my business.

No, I'm not really pissed at MS. I just wanted to spark off some good conversation. Not every thread should be a "rate my game collection" or "What game should I buy next?" or "my console is better than yours". As for loyalty, sure you are loyal. Don't fool yourself. You are loyal to the platform that appeals to you most. The statement of "I'm a gamer" is so over used, it's cliche'. Anyone who picks up any type of system be it a PC or a console in order to play games, is a gamer.
Also, if you feel that the other consoles don't do it for you anymore, that's cool. There is no debate here on that issue.
As for the mistake that MS made that has not affected me as of yet (or may never will). It has affected many others. I just simply wanted to ask why a loyalty (or support of a better choice of word) to a console that has a well known issue. I have read (whether true, yet remains to be seen) of 360 owners sending back their consoles back as high as nine times. If this were to be true, then why still go through the trouble of sending it time and time again for repairs. That's all.
