A 9 is fair enough but im gonna come out there and say that those of you who've played and loved Demon Souls and Dark Souls are gonna be disappointed by the time you finish this game.....This game feels the same way Arkham Origins felt to me....i.e it apes and follows the previous games in some ways but doesn't necessarily complement them.....the difficulty here seems more like it's been done for the sake of it rather than be a part of the world as in previous titles....
It's still an excellent game don't get me wrong....it'll probably be my most played game this year....but it's the weakest in the series.
A 9...??? Do game reviewers nowadays not know anything about video games....seriously??
I finished the campaign yesterday and i felt it was insulting to players as your actions don't really affect anything in the story. No matter how many wins you take, you lose if the campaign wants it.
I was just finishing it anyways to unlock the mechs, so i trotted over to the multiplayer side of things, and that is when I was really fucking shocked. No private lobby, lack of groups and clans, everything is fucked....also 15 maps....fucking 15 maps in a multiplayer game.
What im surprised about is how every single one of these game review websited have seemingly given a free pass to this game....i know the gamplay is original and enjoyable but you cant just ignore a products shortcomings.....Gamespot nearly never gives in to the hype....wtf happened this time....
If you want a real score see the average score right there on the right....if you wanna give in to the hype and fanboy bullshit....consider the above review.
And some professionalism please Gamespot....im now wishing Kevin Vanord did this review....at least he's accurate .
This game isnt 8-19 hours long.....thats like saying resistance is 15-20 hour long if you play through all the difficulties....who measures gaming lenght like that....
Im not worried about the price, im concerned about this business model about selling only one level because the game will still take an year to build.
The only reason there isn't a video review of this game is because the narrative dissing the game would be completely contrary to the awesome chaotic gameplay happening on screen.
I played the demo and immediately ordered the game from my rent money!!....it's that good. I also love the fact that the company is modest enough to release such a unique and hard worked experience at 20 $. Its a welcome change when mediocre games (im looking at you COD) are seemingly hell bent on making games 80$ dollars each.
Having said that does anyone..uh....has a spare room where i could crash..??
