well I wouldn't say I care but am I interested. Perhaps that just equates into the same thing. The article itself entails him talking about disc DLC being about pure greed. I do agree but that simply a no-brainer to me also. All paid DLC is meant (at least to me anyhow) to be about maximizing profits for a product already/about to be released.
Again with Pachter? Seriously this is like the Little Boy Who Cried Wolf only its The Grown Man Who Cried Fail at everything. I think he's 'lucky' to still have a job in this industry along with this guy that keeps publishing it like its gospel.
Can anyone post an example of when this Pachter tool has been correct about something OTHER than the sun rising in the morning?
How dumb, that just means they'll keep remaking all the other ones in the series several times over and still never remake their best-selling one? If it would doom the series its only because they can't come up with something that out-sells FF7 to begin with. The thing that made it great was because of its story. You don't see that in terms of the new FF games coming out.
Gameplay & special effects have come a long way. Good story without mucking it up with sub-standard voice acting or sub-standard plots among characters that are probably only in-game to add overall playtime, is quickly disappearing from the series IMHO.
If anything they are letting the shadow of FF7 fall over them far too much. It wasn't a really complicated game as far as some of today evolved mechanics. Its been 15 years FFS. Perhaps they are also worried that a FF7 remake would eclipse things like the MGS series in terms of cutscene length.
This guy again? Pachter has the prediction expertise of a freaking weather man. Sketchy even during the most optimistic outlook. If I were a betting man (and I am) I would say Pachter is full of sh*t.
Dear Gamespot, quit looking desperate by posting his 'predictions'. Or go full weather station, your choice.
Hate to say it; name an industry where employees are NOT routinely overworked. Its amazing the things you have to put up with just to be a 'regular' employee. If your not willing to bend over and take it your probably out the door unless you know somebody. Even worse when you have 'managerial' staff that pawn their work (and I do mean THEIR work) onto regular employes and call it 'delagation'. Lazy isn't just to limited to those on the bottom rung.
In this case Ono is probably contracted so that virtually gives a company (Capcom) the right to work him all the hours they want (Hence the waiting Rome ticket). I really hope that the game industry is not the next big bubble to burst. =(
Since this was a RA Salvatore inspired game, I wonder how much $ went into his pocket. Really too bad I like the game itself, definitely pretty decent. I feel for the people that lost their jobs over it though, GL making it out there!
This just further indicates that companies producing next-gen consoles would be beyond stupid for considering ideas that will cripple their income, such as the inclusion of AUGS (Anti-Used Game Systems). At this point unless something dramatic changes I definitely don't see Sony going along with it.
