GameSpot rated Uncharted: Drake's Fortune 8.0 and inFamous 2 7.5. That line is enough for GameSpot to be seen as a bad source for reviews and people should never consider reading GameSpot reviews at all. Reviewers must be quite biased against the PS3.

I don't like judging from a single independent website like here. I like to see reviews from all over in one place.

GamerwillzPS

I am sorry but what did Uncharted do that wasn;t already done in every single way and there were no real noticeable improvement over Infamous one and two, just like Crackdown, they were not exactly adding anything in there. Also, both the first Uncharted and Infamous 2 got similar or lower score across the map and that also show on MC and GR as well, so your flawed logic flaws it self by flawing.

It is my opinion that both Uncharted and inFamous 2 should be 9.

The US version uses higher quality instruments to make it's prescense known and stretches a few genres.

But My vote goes to EU/JP,because I felt it's soundtrack was much more in line with the pop music Sonic sound had built itself up to that time. Plus "Work that sucker to death" never gets old :D(US boss theme is way too creepy for it's own good.)

Never even played it. I want to though.

I would suggest you try it, it's ok for some time to kill just never though it was, and presently (not sure if I did that right) not too impressive. I mean it won;t have you dressing up in costumes or anything, but I would give it a go, way better than Final Fantasy 8 which I have no words for.

*Facepalm* This is where System Wars fail. Metacritic and Gamerankings should be used for argument standpoints here. Relying on GS scores does not prove anything.

GamerwillzPS

But average scores are just that, Averages, in other words they are not solid numbers and Averages should never be relied on as proof of anything because they are Flawed to a degree, one rogue review can completely change a games average, also the number of reviews can change the average as well,it all depends on whether they are mean averages or median, Median si the more accurate when calculating averages where there may be a rogue number, plus you have to throw in standard deviation

GameSpot rated Uncharted: Drake's Fortune 8.0 and inFamous 2 7.5. That line is enough for GameSpot to be seen as a bad source for reviews and people should never consider reading GameSpot reviews at all. Reviewers must be quite biased against the PS3.

[QUOTE="delta3074"][QUOTE="Shockwave-DASH"] I see what your saying but you're not seeing my point. If Game: Destruction of toilet paper- gets 300 reviews and all of them score 9.5 with maybe 2 7.5's. Now when game: Chain saw the little cats and transform into a laser shooting rabbit-has 12 reviews of 9.5 and one review of 3.0. You see that it makes no real sense with review numbers right>? Now let's say the first was Wii exclusive and the 2nd was 360 exclusive. Now here's the other problem, let;s say game ranking allowed Nintendo Power to review the Wii exclusive, but then let Xbox world and Xbox planet review the other. So now the Xbox game not only has less review numbers, but also have more slight bias sites on its review scores. That's not relaible. The closets gamerankings would get to fair is if you only count big name websites (Which have reviewed the games) and remove XBOX planet or SONY UNIVERSE type review sites because those are also added to gamerankings (Metacritic more so but GR still has them.) While I would agree that other than your own opinion what you are using would be kind of one of the few real choices although underground websites that review games (Though professional just not well known) would be number one. They review games you may not have ever played if you only used game rankings or metacriritc or gamespot. While the other all basically isolate between 9.0-10 scoring games. I would have never found Castle Shikigami 3 without it, or glacier, or Yakuza, or Skycrawlers, or a bunch of other games. Professional rating sites that are not well known are not easy to manipulate and they don;t just go wit the flow and they show more well rounded opinion. SECOND I would use something like game ranking or metacritic.arkephonic

Basically the difference in the number of reviews can greatly affect the average score, rogue numbers can also affect the average like if one review site just happens to give an 8 game a 4 rating all of this basically renders Metacritic averages completely usless because the results are inherently Flawed. Arkophonic also conveniently forgets to put Ghost recon advanced warfighter on the 360 list which lessens the percentage gap so his whole point is invalidated anyway.

What would be your alternative then?

If Gamerankings isn't the best source from an argumentative standpoint when determining how good a game is, what is the best source then?

Metacritic uses mostly more publicized review sites that have a lot of fan pressure. That makes them choose more bias reviewrs, or go with the flow, or hype review high paying mainstream games, or other factors. Professional review sites (not fan made or made with a focus on one system.) that are not putting themselves out there or being pressured by viewers have more well though out opinion and spread across more games. I would have had the least amount of games i have ever has in 6 gens if I didn't use any undergorund review sites because if i use Metacritic and Game Spoit and Ign, which the former is flawed by numbers of reviews, I would only have what? The sites only consider about 20-25 (Less for WIi) games to even be worth playing if we do it your way.

To me, that PS3 lead is even more impressive because the Xbox 360 had a year long head start and the PS3 is widely regarded as having a slow start games wise.

The PS3 had to release a sh*t load of high quality exclusives in a short amount of time to close the gap like that. There has been a consistent, steady stream of excellent games releasing in high volumes for the PS3.

casharmy

\ Xbox was also known to pretty much have like Halo and that's it when the 360 launched and Sony actually had the PS2, that year head start was needed. Also how the heck is Gameranking anymore reliable than Metacritic? Which both are unfair to use because each game has different numbers of reviews. I suggest we only use IGN and Gamespot reviews on gamespot and Metacritic for a more well rounded system wars experience as the two leading gaming websites (faulty opinion excluded.)

actually I believe MS had more exclusives with the original xbox than they have put out for 360 because they killed off alot of their franchises and closed alot of their development studios.

There's a differene in number and publicity, nobody KNEW of most of its exclusives.

[QUOTE="ispeakfact"][QUOTE="spiderluck"][QUOTE="parkurtommo"] Is that even relevant? Where they debuted? lol seriously? Exclusive games are a reason to buy a console, who cares if a ton of games were initially exclusives.

Whew...logic school phoned...you've been permanently expelled but on the bright side you are eligible for disability support payments

Um...he is right. :(. Exclusives have always mattered. I remember Coleco and Atari fighting over exclusives back in the early 80's.

No, the gaming crashed because of the fact you could play EXCLUSIVES ON EVERY OTHER SYSTEM AND THE COMPETITION WAS Releasing exclusive GAMES ON THE COMPETITORS CONSOLES, AND THERE WERE CLONE MACHINES THAT COULD ALSO PLAY THE original MACHINES EXCLUSIVE GAMES. Basically you just said that Uncharted should be an XBOX exclusive and Halo should be multiplat for the 360 and Sony both versions published by MS game studios while, uh, Panasoni makes a PS3 clone that can play all ps3 game cheaper than a PS# and only Pan get the profit for units sold.

Yes, I just got this thread Idea from a thread made by another user so don;t use that "It's not original" line. I just though this thread must be made. Which region had the best Sonic CD soundtrack? Personally I believe the U.S. Soundtrack is unmatched with its quality, more blending with the game, and having more original tracks. However I will admit mixing them together with more levels would have been a game with music one could not handle to take in at one time, but separate, Sonic CD U.S. Sorry. but post your opinion on the subject.
