The 360 just has a different target audience now than they did in the beginning. They used to make games aimed towards me, which is why I bought the console. Now their entire focus is on infants / babies / toddlers, so I can't say I'm exactly thrilled with my Xbox 360 now. I like games that kids can play like Mario, Mario Kart, Kirby, Zelda and stuff like that, but the Kinect kids games just suck. The controls are broken. At least games like Mario have some of the best controls on the planet.

Thankfully, I also have a PS3 and a Wii so no complaints here.

Define games. Didn't it just get DD, Skyrim and etc?

http://www.ign.com/articles/2012/05/21/dragons-dogma-review

"Big fights cause slowdown that can freeze the screen for seconds at a time on the Xbox 360 version. Dragon?s Dogma runs much better on the PlayStation 3 than on the 360, with a smoother frame rate and fewer streaming problems"

Didn't really answer my actual question but ok then.

To me, that PS3 lead is even more impressive because the Xbox 360 had a year long head start and the PS3 is widely regarded as having a slow start games wise.

The PS3 had to release a sh*t load of high quality exclusives in a short amount of time to close the gap like that. There has been a consistent, steady stream of excellent games releasing in high volumes for the PS3.

\ Xbox was also known to pretty much have like Halo and that's it when the 360 launched and Sony actually had the PS2, that year head start was needed. Also how the heck is Gameranking anymore reliable than Metacritic? Which both are unfair to use because each game has different numbers of reviews. I suggest we only use IGN and Gamespot reviews on gamespot and Metacritic for a more well rounded system wars experience as the two leading gaming websites (faulty opinion excluded.)

Multiple reviews are always more credible than 1 single review.

Gamerankings has a criteria to avoid being imbalanced.

It just isn't reliable to take the opinion of 1 single person and roll with it. It's far for efficient to take the opinion of the industry as a whole.

I see what your saying but you're not seeing my point. If Game: Destruction of toilet paper- gets 300 reviews and all of them score 9.5 with maybe 2 7.5's. Now when game: Chain saw the little cats and transform into a laser shooting rabbit-has 12 reviews of 9.5 and one review of 3.0. You see that it makes no real sense with review numbers right>? Now let's say the first was Wii exclusive and the 2nd was 360 exclusive. Now here's the other problem, let;s say game ranking allowed Nintendo Power to review the Wii exclusive, but then let Xbox world and Xbox planet review the other. So now the Xbox game not only has less review numbers, but also have more slight bias sites on its review scores. That's not relaible. The closets gamerankings would get to fair is if you only count big name websites (Which have reviewed the games) and remove XBOX planet or SONY UNIVERSE type review sites because those are also added to gamerankings (Metacritic more so but GR still has them.) While I would agree that other than your own opinion what you are using would be kind of one of the few real choices although underground websites that review games (Though professional just not well known) would be number one. They review games you may not have ever played if you only used game rankings or metacriritc or gamespot. While the other all basically isolate between 9.0-10 scoring games. I would have never found Castle Shikigami 3 without it, or glacier, or Yakuza, or Skycrawlers, or a bunch of other games. Professional rating sites that are not well known are not easy to manipulate and they don;t just go wit the flow and they show more well rounded opinion. SECOND I would use something like game ranking or metacritic.

Now, I got Final Fantasy 7 when it came out, and I have to say, they actually artificially added to its popularity but not releasing all games in the U.S. and skipping games until more note worthy changes were present. The jump form 1, 2, to 3, then to 7 was a genius and and backfire type move, but the latter didn't happen till later so let's stay in the time period. For one, when Final Fantasy 7 released I didn't find it impressive at all because I played tons of game and Jrpgs before it that did a lot of what it did better. Also after. It just had too many things wrong, bad graphics in many areas where there was no excuse, dragging, and a bunch of other issues but this isn't an essay thread so just state your mind. Did you think Final Fantasy VII was the best Jrpg available when it was released? (Including the same and other/older consoles as well that gen and before.)

Well I played some hours of the GBA version and.................................................. Well, it is not BAD at least. I guess I'll give it another 2x10 worth of hours before my official decision.

[QUOTE="jonathant5"]Wow, the TC is one of the dumbest and biggest fanboys ever. The X360 has plenty of platformers. And BTW, how popular the game is does not dictate its quality. There are plenty of games that sell a lot and are popular yet are low quality (like 50Cent), and on the other hand you have high quality games that sell poorly. But eh, why am I trying to talk sense with a huge, ignorant fanboy? Probably just wasted my time...GamerwillzPS

Tell me what good retail platformers the 360 has then.

From what I have seen, the TC is correct.

If the 360 has 4 retail platformers and Sony only has 3, in fact, technically, the 360 has 6 retail platformers and Sony only has 3, how the heck does Sony have more platformers?

[QUOTE="deadruler08"]kameo is better than any platformer on the ps3. /threadNintendo_Ownes7

Kameo isn't a Platformer it is an Action Adventure.

Edit* If Microsoft didn't kill it and they fixed the swimming mechanics it could've been Microsoft's answer to the Legend of Zelda series.

Why would they do that when Darksiders sells more on 360 and is a mature themed game (which are the only ones that sell on PS3 and 360 most of the time)? Why would they do that if they made no profit? Why would they do that if Rare wasted resources on it but put no focus on advertising? Why would they do that if it didn't sell? Why would they do that when Rare already destroyed there brand name by the time it came out and most likely no one remembers it?

The Gamecube controler was fantastic, ergonomic and light. It was just terrible for shooters. Luckily the Gamecube had plenty of other games.

I hope the Wii U tablet is comfortable like the Gamecube pad and good for shooters, that will make it the ultimate joypad.

I didn't think the GameCube controller was that bad when it comes to shooters. My time with stuff like TimeSplitters 2 and Star Fox Assault (on-foot) was alright. If there was any genre that had it worse, it was traditional fighters (like Bloody Roar, Soul Calibur II, or Dragon Ball Z: Budokai) as it can get confusing with the button layout, but even then it still wasn't that bad because you can get used to it.

Starfox isn't a FPS what kind of shooters do you possibly think the article is talking about?
