Umm, maybe its just me, but 24" or larger screen just seems to big anyways, unless you are sitting a good ways back. 22" seems to me to be the sweet spot and then you only have to worry about 1650x1050 anways. /shrugs

I would say around 411-515 GBP. That is assuming PC parts are roughly the same price as they are here in America.

As far as the parts I would go with an Intel Dual or quad core. The q6600 has really good OC abilities, as for the motherboard I would suggest going with a nvidia 750i chipset, either the MSI board or the EvGA FTW. Video I would say the 8800gts (g92). I would not bother with a sound card as the mobo has pretty good onboard. The case of course is personal preference. I like the NZXT and CoolerMaster cases. As for the power supply around 650watts should be plenty, even if you decide to go SLI, dont beleive that whole you have to have 1000watts crap.

For the person above that said he could not play it on high, well he can, I just build a computer with a 9600gt for a friend and he can play on high @ 1440x900, not sure how well it scales at higher rez though. His monitor is only 19".

Also 3gb would not be a odd number. you buy 2x 1gig and 2x 512, thats 4 slots in dual channel.

Stick with DDR2. DDR3 is too overpriced, plus there is no real performance gain as the timings are still too slow.

Try building your own and getting everything from newegg. I put one together on newegg then on Ibuypower and you come out about 200 cheaper if you build your own. Also I would not worry with a sound card as on-board sound is much better than it use to be.

Ok so will I be able to play most games at max settings at a 1920x1080 resolution with a 9800gtx? The games I really want to play are Fear and some RTS games. I am getting Crysis as well, but I know I will not be able to max it out.

The rest of my setup is a q6600, 4gb of Ram on a MSI 750i board.

Hey, not sure what your system specs are buy my buddy and I just built a computer last week. It has the AMD phenom 2.2ghz with 4gb of ram and a 9600gt and we can play it at 1280x720 on High with no problems, even at 1440x900 it will play high, but it tends to have some drops occasionally. I doubt you are going to get a card that can max it out unless 1. you have a good overall computer and 2. you play at lower resolution 1440x900 or lower.

I think this game will be good, and I would get it regardless of what system it came out on. Also I dont think this game was suppose to be like DMC, it has more RP elements to it, I would compare it more to a Baldur's Gate/Diablo style game.

Ok so I changed the mobo, and went with Vista Home. Also the fans I added to a different wish list as I dont plan to buy those at the time of PC purchase. Those are more of a "in case" the case fans dont perform well.
