Hey man, sorry to hear you are having such problems with AoC. I just built my friends PC like 3 weeks ago and your problem sounds like the same one he is having with Crysis. he keeps getting some video driver error, although he has the latest Forceware installed.

Have you tried googling it? Might could find some kinda fix that way.

Does it crash when the updater screen pops up? or does it crash after you hit play and it start to actually load the game? IF the latter you might want to click on settings before you hit play and switch over to DX9 and set your resolution.

And yes I know this game does not support DX10 yet but the option is there and could be causing a issue (unlikely, but maybe)

Ummm.... first off I would just SLI to 9800gtx or 8800ultra as the 9800GX2 is wayy overpriced. But more than that I would just wait till next month with the Nividia GXT280 comes out... could be early july. But I would be willing to bet there is going to be a significant performance jump. Also if you are building this for gaming that Core 2 Extreme is overkill IMO. As far as Tri SLI I'm not sure if you can do that with the GX2s or not, but there is only like 5-10fps performance gain going from 2 cards to 3. Just stick with SLI and since you obviously want to piss away your money on a computer just send me some.

unless you are just wanting to blow money, you dont need DDR3 becuase right now it has no real advatage over DDR2. so if you scaled back to DDR2 you could save alot by maybe getting a 750i chipset instead of a 790i. Now if you just got the money to spend I say go for it, everything looks good to me.

Buy 1 more 4gb of ram just so you can brag ! :P
