Since I have a dell xps 700, the bios lock any option for cpu overclocking so I decidied to try clock gen. I've used other methods of OC on other computers before but this one keeps giving me issues. Even if I set the clock speeds lower in the FSB, the thing still crashes. My current FSB is rated at 266 but when the slider comes up to change the frequencies, it's at 200, so I jjst move it up to say 204 and then click apply and it crashes.

Why is this always crashing on me? My mobo is supported in the read me so I have no clue as to what it might be.

I've got two hard drives, both with xp, but I want to make the larger one have vista with music, pictures, videos etc, and teh other just for games. So my question is, is there a way when my computer boots up, I can select which hard drive to boot from?

Thanks

I have a crappy OEM sound card in my comp and it's been giving me problems since day one. Does any one have a good recommendation for a sound card that works with vista and is under 70 bucks? My last one was terrible for gaming so I would like a new one that would work nicely.

~Thanks!

After trying forever to find why I'm getting such poor performance in games like bf2 and 2142, crysis, far cry and others, I thought of one thing I may have over looked before. I get like 58- 28 fps in those games, especially when a lot is going on. I thought a 8800gt would solve that. Could my sound card potientially be causing loss in fps? I have no idea what model it is, but its a Xfi Sound Blaster, so I dont know which one to download drivers for.

Here's my system: 8800GT 4gig ram, Windows xp, 10,000 rpm hdd, e6600 @ 2.4 ghz and 750 watt psu

Thanks!

Yeah, I'm worried about the same thing too. I hope it looks that good, if not a tad less compared to the screens given.

The computer wont even boot so i cant access the bios, and I've tried each stick, both new and old seperately and none will work. The ram requires 1.8V - 1.9V and I have a 750 watt psu.

I just installed ram in my new computer but now it wont even boot up. All there is is just a beeping sound from the motherboard and the fans go on too. I need some major help with this. The new and old ram wont work either. Everything is plugged in corrctly so what is the problem?
