Well I like the case it has already and it would seem like a waste just dumping that nice case.

Yeah so I made the mistake a couple years ago buying a Dell XPS 700 that's totally unable to overclock its processor and I want a new motherboard to suit my needs. But to my surprise Dell only uses BTX sized mobos and not ATX.

So my point is, what's a decent or preferable BTX mobo that allows for good overclocking and would also fit in a quad core.

~thanks

I usually defrag once a month or so and I just reinstalled windows xp last week. The ram brand is a samsung model and I have two gigs of it.

I'll try that program that you mentioned. Thanks!

lol, no they arent secret, it just seems like my computer should get better than 24-40 fps in bf 2 and 2142. FEAR and far cry get better fps than those games but it's still lower than what I thougt. Upgrading from a 7900gs to a 8800gt didn't seem to make much difference.

The drivers for the gpu are the newest and I've tried others too. Temp levels are usually 44 to 52 celcius. Could it be my processor? Its a core 2 duo 6600 @ 2.4 ghz and my dumbed down bios wont let me overclock that thing.

Thanks for all the help.

My gpu is a 8800GT and processor is a c2d 6600 but at stock speeds.

I just can't find the reason for such slow performance in some games.

My dell xps 700 that I bought a while ago only came with 2 gigs of ram at 667 mghz, and I'm thinking that's the issue that I've been having with the slow down in newer games.

So I thought I should buy some fast ram, about 4 gigs to improve performance. The rest of my system is good and ram is the only thing I can think of upgrading.

What's some really realiable ram that's fast and great for gaming?

Star wars battlefront, and some other game I had a long time ago too. I just reinstalled it and never had this problem before.

I keep getting this error everytime I want to launch my game. I visited the website the message said to got to (securom.com/emulation) and there's no help there. I dont have any image mounting tools like daemon tools or alcohol installed on my computer.

Is there anyway that I can get this error message to go away? It's stupid that I'm being punished for actually paying for a game and not pirating it.

Securom sucks....

Yeah I'm pretty sure you do need a credit card. I had to when I bought mine.
