As one of my favorite Star Wars RPG's, I just downloaded KOTOR off of Steam for Windows 7. It is full of issues. The first, and most glaring, is the fact that the game doesn't even recognize my mouse sometimes. I love this game, but I am not sure how to remedy my issues. Does anyone have any suggestions?

I love Assassin's Creed 2, but, I couldn't help but to laugh at this clip from the official Gamespot review of AC2. It's simply not true, as the game tasks you with eavesdropping on several Templar meetings.:D

". Eavesdropping missions are gone completely, and beat-'em-up tasks are mostly optional"

It is a shooter where your target is other humans, but, it's not an extreme game at all. I save that title for really brutal stuff. It's got a bit of language, but again, probably nothing you wouldn't hear on primetime tv. All in all, it's a Tom Clancy game, so it will not go too far on graphic violence or language, and there are no bizarre sexual aspects to it.

I don't know any really old games like that, but the closest you could find now would be a Lionhead Studios game called "The Movies." It's on both PC and Mac, and is basically the same idea as you asked about, only with 3D graphics and a UI. It's definitely worth checking out if you have never played it.

Eh, I just figured that was more of a TF2 PC thing is all. I never figured it didn't have clans. I guess a better thing to say would be that I'm suprised it's used much on consoles, as I have never seen it used that much in the past.

Playing Rock Band makes you used to playing a music game correctly matched to the music, going back to Guitar Hero afterwards you're screwed because of how bad the charting is.

Especially on the easier levels, Guitar Hero just throws up notes all over the place with no rhyme or reason much more frequently then Rock Band

DZBricktop

I completely agree. Rockband actually feels like you're playing to the music. Guitar Hero is just a button mashing game with music in the background. You got used to playing to the music, and now have trouble going back.

I agree with these guys. Rock Band has charts that are oftentimes a little more tame (definitely not on some of those metal songs), but they flow with the music much better. Guitar Hero practices the philosophy of more is better, as any song that is not a chilled out song has notes strewn about everywhere. Plus the fact it wants you to play notes for almost every other instrument aside from guitar.

I only rented it, but I enjoyed what I played. It seems a little derivative, but it's good fun.

The object blur is REALLY cool tho...Iantheone

Until you turn it up to the maximum level.

So, if you can run everything at very high without tweaking, are there any real benefits? I did, and it still seemed to frame dip a little occasionally, and I am running it on high end hardware. Is DX10 still not worth the investment for the current game technology?

Is the game strictly deathmatching and capture-the-flag type modes?
