[QUOTE="WillieBeamish"][QUOTE="Cloud_Insurance"][QUOTE="Il_Exile_lI"][QUOTE="killzowned24"] 7.1 PCM blows away 5.1 audio..PS3 FTW:)

He isn't talking about 5.1 vs 7.1 or compressed vs. uncompressed sound, he is saying the the sound effects and the musical score fit the game very well and add to the experience. Obviously 7.1 uncompressed>>>5.1 compressed, but the composer still has to make good music, 7.1 doesn't automatically make it the best score to a game ever.
but MGS4 has Ennio Morricone...so MGS4 best sound/effects/score/etc. hands down.
Nice try. MGS4 uses a cover of a Morricone composition which was originally done for an Italian film. Insinuating that he composed a song for MGS4 is sacrilige.
I don't see Gears using some John Williams cover, and if it did, I don't think anyone would be bragging about sad it was for Epic to start ripping scores from Hollywood movies.
I'm sorry, I don't pay attention to what fanboys post...
Is there or is there not a Ennio Morricone track in MGS4? Thanks. Move along.
who cares? You act like that guy is so good. he's not (and believe it or not ive heard of him before, mainly because of the good, bad, and ugly). He's too traditional imo.
I think Uematsu is the best composer, in any industry. And believe it or not he embraces rock too! Much more contemporary
from this gen alone (meaning out of blue dragon and lost odyssey)

Uematsu benefits from proper placing too. So many games just throw in the music.
I like Marty too. I bet his director tells him "MORE EPIC!" for his baseline.
