gears 2 and r2 will be great games.

kz2 on the other hand is a flop in the making

mephisto_11

dont jump to conclusions. Im not really a ps3 fan due to the fact that it really doesnt have many games that interest me, but KZ2 probably will be good. I sense a solid 8.5.

I hate these matchups. To me it Resistance 2 v.s. Halo 3 and Killzone 2 v.s. Gears 2.

R2 and Halo are both run and gun while KZ2 and Gears are both graphical powerhouses and have cover systems.

Edit: I've finally reached Quad Damage! :D *Ironic because i'm playing Quake 2 atm.*

TheGrat1

well to be honest, we don't exactly know how Halo will play. You're suppose to play from an alternative view between halo 2 and 3, meaning yes, this is the true Halo 2.5.

Im not expecting it to play like ghost recon though

Why I say Resistance vs. Gears and Killzone vs. Halo is because Resistance and Gears are coming out this holiday where as halo is coming out january 6th and killzone 2 just a tad later in february

R2 will own so will K2.

killzowned24

Killzone 2 is definately a graphical beast. That being said, it really doesn't matter.

The truth is, would you really want Killzone or Halo? That's probably the easiest question for anyone to answer

Lets look at the most casual console, the Wii, now lets look at a game with a level editor, Brawl. What attracted the casuals the most is the engagin gameplay and not really the level editor. LBP really needs to have a solid platforming gameplay experience since its major focus is level editing. I mean if you think about it, casuals are casuals, they probably don't spend time playing the actual game and it's just foolish to think a casual will make time to edit levels.

ReverseCycology

maybe because the map editor and brawl sucked?

I think Halo 3 might be a better example, and you know, forgehub.com

So we all know that Resistance would be competing with Gears of War 2 again.

Come yesterday we find out who Killzone is going against: Halo 3: Keep it Clean, which isn't the official title yet, just the one we go by. I'd have to imagine it's in the same realm as HL: OF is some way.

But anyway, funny how things work out, eh? We thought Killzone 2 would go up against Halo 3 but instead it goes head to head with the other alternative view halo.

For the record, this is where I get the release

http://www.gametrailers.com/player/usermovies/270226.html

Makes sense too. They said it'd take less than announcement to release of Halo 3. E3 was 2 months ago, end of january is a bit more than a half of a year (which is similar to gears 2 announcement to release actually)

So comment and say which you'd rather have (they should all be good, but let's face it... there's an obvious answer)

Resistance or Gears of War 2

Killzone 2 or Halo 3: Keep it Clean

Crysis computers cost $700, just letting you know.

And that computer looks cool. :P

qman101

i wouldn't say its $700 when it doesn't even come with a few core pieces for a pc.

and seriously- why wouldnt you get a quad core and some more ram? I know it's not neccessary at this moment, but alan wake probably will like it as will other games.

[QUOTE="anshul89"]i hate them. it sucks playing against people online who are only interested in getting achievements -_-TenP

Playing TF2 with Achievement farmers is the worst thing on Earth. =_=

I dont get why they like to unlock them there. Not trying to hate on valve, but they didn't exactly implement them correctly. They seem to be more like useless unlocks than useless achievements.

I know it sounds dumb, but it's the truth. Maybe i feel achievements should be reserved to consoles?

and that'd take away a good amount of revenue. I game on my pc a bit, but i wouldn't neccessarily call myself a pc gamer. I have a fairly decent rig (quad core 2.4 ghz, 3 gb ram, 8500gt) so it can play all the good games (spore, diablo 3, sc2, etc.) but i can't run really what qualifies as this generation graphics to well.

i think LBP looks great. It won't be a, im using a banned phrase hear on system wars, it won't be a halo, but it will be damn good. the only issue it has is what allows it to do everything- the fact that it's a sidescroller

A lot of people are quick to jump on the dlc bandwagon with this. But you know, it seems like this would be too big for this. Bungie has stated that this title has been in development alongside Halo 3. So you know, this is going to be just as big as it.

I understand hermits, yes, expansions can be just as big as the game. However, all the expansions I have ever played never were truly radically different from the main game. They tended to just be more of the same stuff. And really, they don't take longer than the initial game to develop, more of a short development period thing.

So it's obvious that this is not just more levels. It also appears that you're something like a ODST trooper during Halo 2- definately before Halo 3, but somewhere between them all- could be between the end of 1 through the beggining of 3, I dunno.

Yes, that sounds like a completely new game from an alternative view, basically. But it did say Halo 3 dinstinctly in the trailer. But there's one thing you guys are forgetting- so what? You guys honestly haven't heard of standalone games that are the same game but completely new almost? Yes, that was phrased horribly but still. Haven't you guys ever heard of Half Life: Opposing Force or Half Life: Blue Shift? Same idea in a way, although I bet this will have a completely different play style than halo.

For those of you who say it's a DLC extra levels thing: Why exactly would they bother creating a whole new set of gameplay and whatnot and release it as dlc to a game that utilizes different elements? Does it even make sense?
