[QUOTE="Floppy_Jim"]Here's how I see it- Resistance 2 > Halo 3 > Killzone 2 > Gears of War 2.mephisto_11

My view: Gears of War 2 >>> Halo 3 >> Killzone 2 > German urinal.

My view Halo 3>>>>>>> Gears 2> Resistance > Killzone 2

my view gears 2>>>>>>>>>>>resistance 2> halo >>>>>>>>>>>> kz2

dont break the chain!!!

my view again

your an idiot, lol. How can anyone like Resistance more than halo? But then again, you said you like gears mroe than halo meaning that you probably suck at it, lol. but seriously.

I think his game may be about an invasion of a human colony by the Flood, and it'll be your job to quarantine and biologically purge this Flood infection by using a variety of chemical and anti-viral means.

WhenTheTwoFace

I believe teh Elites where doing that. Remeber how they were glassing up teh earth surface to prevent the spreading of the flood.

Well, that's the Elites' way of doing things. The humans may have different methods. Also, my theory seems to fit the mysterious "Keep it clean" mantra of this game. Having the Flood in your city would make it the exact opposite of "clean". Plus the Flood have a knack for hijacking spaceships and crashing them into new planets/ inhabited colonies for them to infect (referring to the descent of flaming debree in the trailer).

could also clean the streets of teh remaining covenant. ALso It would really be a Halo game without the flood. Especially since I don't think Gravemind is dead. ALso I expect it to be a much scarier game coming from the ODST perspective. You might really have to make use of the flash light.

Wait, isn't this "expansion" some new levels added to the campaign (still marvelous news, however)?

no. most definately not.

Its a new game, but since it's explaining events that you didnt see in halo or 3 (or maybe some you have, just not from that perspective) its going by the name Halo 3, most like Halo 3: (Subtitle). Its most definately not DLC. Definately a stand alone seperate entity.

Hell, if it weren't, why would I have recieved the message telling me to go to bungie.net/ the marketplace and check out their new game (phrased like that, a new game) when I booted up Halo 3?

Well, then, shouldn't it be released three years after Halo 3, like Halo 3 was released three years after Halo 2? Or maybe this game will be a mini game? ;S

This is not Halo 4 nor is it halo 3.

It's a different game set in the same universe. You most likely play as a ODST marine and you'll explore situations from different views, or as in New Mombasa's case, you'll actually see the stuff go down.

Bungie has said that they have worked on this game since they started Halo 3.

Bungie just has more resources to do these things. They tried another project alongside Halo 2 but that got cancelled essentially due to crunch. They made sure that didn't happen with this and they said, about 2 months ago, it was really starting to pull together.

Is it really so hard to understand?

R2 will own so will K2.

Jared2720

Killzone 2 is definately a graphical beast. That being said, it really doesn't matter.

The truth is, would you really want Killzone or Halo? That's probably the easiest question for anyone to answer

We already have three Halo games that are basically identical to one another. Give me Killzone 2, please. Even if it doesn't meet expectations, it's something relatively fresh.

Not at all. Halo most definately has changed significantly.

And you know.... this halo would be something new, wouldn't it?
Killzone 2 just looks like any shooter out there in reality.

And jsut something I feel like saying: I seriously doubt this is an expansion for halo 3. It just seems too different. Im sensing, as I've said many times, something like HL: OF/BS (hence the Halo 3 name)

Pretty funny putting Halo 3 in there. Threw me off when I saw it. i was like "um... what?"

too_much_eslim

Well it will be an expasnion of Halo 3 just not told from MC eyes. You will probaly see him once or twice in the game but other than that have nothing to do with him.

But you actual think it'll run off Halo 3? Even with all the differences and how it looks like a whole project? Doesn't seem to smart to me.

Based on the analysis it would deal with places on Earth. SInce the Ark is on earth it makes sense why parts of Halo 3 will be in the game. Also wht I mean is that it is not a DLC where you can play it using the HAlo 3 disk. It is an entirely new project. The Halo 3 reference is used most likely to cover some parts of teh story not told.

Which is why I say it's a perfect candidate for Halo 3: ODST Strike (or whatever).

In reality though, this is Halo 2.5

If it really means that this will be a multiplayer campaign; then I think Bungie is countering Insomniac's Co-op campaign in Resistance 2.EXLINK

Do you really think Bungie even cares what Resistance is doing? And it's not neccessarily a mp campaign, just something designed for it

They have been developing this since Halo 3 started development, meaning pretty much right after Halo 2. Truth is that this was probably in development since R1 started development
