[QUOTE="SoBaus"]

bad decision quoting me.

Palantas

I have no idea what you're talking about. When did I mention the private sector? When did I say that Einstein wasn't as smart as me? Did I mention Hawking or Sagan at all? Are you even talking to me? Perhaps you quoted my post, but meant to respond to someone else.

you said your goal should be to benefit yourself, no major scientist in history has ever taken that viewpoint. Many have faced execution for their beliefs.

Of course it's a fairytale. But genuises on Internet forums figured this out years ago. We didn't need Stephen Hawking to tell us this.

EDIT:

[QUOTE="SoBaus"]

he wanted to help society, that should be your goal and all our goals.

Palantas

I'm pretty sure my goal should be doing what ever best benefits me.

bad decision quoting me. You think stephen hawking and albert einstein are too stupid to work in the private sector? Strange paradox, if the private sector only rewards the greatest scientific minds, but the greatest scientific minds refuse to work for the private sector.... where do we land?

You saying guys like einstein, sagan and hawking arent as smart as you because they arent as selfish as you?

im actually really looking forward to how you being a greedier makes you smarter, please tell me oh scientific genius. Can you please explain to me why personal greed makes you more intelligent than the most intelligent people in the world?

Very unsurprising. Of a side note, each time I hear the word "afterlife" I always feel scared of what actually happens after death. It's one of the reasons why I'm so depressed nowadays :(tekken220

why feel scared? if you know you had a beginning... you are living in the present.. and somewhere down the line you have an end. Its your opportunity to make a difference.

Stephen hawking didnt go snort a bunch of coke and bang a bunch of hookers based on his revelation... he wanted to help society, that should be your goal and all our goals.

Find happiness in helping others, pretty sure even the bible says this crap, just bible thumpers choose to ignore it.

the problem is life originated on the african continent. So while europeans and asians evolved based on harsh deadly conditions during migration. The african population thrived based on physical traits like athleticism. Which was only compounded by slavery, where the strongest west africans were bred.

Africans are mostly engineered, other races thrived on natural selection.

Its pretty much scientific fact.

not all races were created equal.

Would be nice if we were though, and all defense spending could goto scientific research.

How is this Congress' fault?

horgen123

i was wondering the same...

We need to blame someone

well US companies are making record investments in foreign economies, and record low investments in the US. Us companies do have trillions iin cash holdings able to pull us out of the recession if they invested domestically.... which is why the recession is over, they invested their trillions domestically due to lower taxes and the recession is over.

Well that was quick, glad we are all back at full employment.

Fiiine, I'm a psychopath. I am sad about this. oh, right, almost forgot my :cry:SeraphimGoddess

i wasnt making an accusation, just trying to clarify the classification. The general idea is that we all deal with psychopaths on a daily basis whether we are one or not. And that psychopaths can be pretty successful.

psychopaths can still be brilliant, the fact that emotion doesnt cloud their judgement even makes them more brilliant.

my best friend since i was in kindergarten was killed in iraq, but he would have laughed at the joke.

i think people get waaaay too overprotective of our troops. These are generally people that are afraid of their own shadow thinking they somehow respresent actual troops that trade gunfire.

You are not representing the troops. you are children. Nobody can speak for the troops until you have walked into a camp full of charred corpses. Any frontline soldier has more testosterone in their pinky nail than you can muster with both nuts.... if you havent shot anyone, stop pretending you have.
