[QUOTE="thegerg"]Every company has certain requirements which disqualify people to work for them. This is just another one of those requirements, what's with the uproar?SpartanMSU

I imagine its political, as in if we just give these companies tax cuts they will restore us to full employment (republican). But policy's like not hiring the unemployed just show companies could care less about the country as a whole.

A businesses job isn't to give people jobs...

But hey, if you want to throw all of your money into starting a business and then run that business on the basis of giving people jobs then go ahead, do it.

Oh im not one of those that believes in the fantastical setting of companies just wanting to restore our economy but they cant due to government regulations.

I know if i owned a business, im cutting costs, keeping an extra lean crew.... and if i get a big tax cut, im definitely not hiring more people, simply because i got a tax cut... if the demand isnt there, im taking my tax cuts and adding an extra outboard motor to my yacht. Or investing in a global company that is building a foreign marketplace.

Kinda sorta.SeraphimGoddess
have you ever cried at a movie or felt emotionally moved, while viewing someone else's plight?

some psychopaths pretend to feel emotion, personally i think tom cruise is one. Always seems like hes trying to act like a person, rather than being a person. IF he cries in a role he is viewing and trying to replicate other's sadness, rather than feeling sadness.

Alot of psychopaths emulate human emotions, rather than having human emotions.

[QUOTE="surrealnumber5"] 1% are psychopaths? 1% are in the prison system, quick someone call a reporter i want to make an unjustified jump to causation and point out how well of a job our prison system is doing at keeping all psychopaths off of the streets and away from the children

surrealnumber5

actually 25% of psychopaths are in the prison system, but its a strange dichotomy that 4% are corporate executives when only 1% of the general population are psychopaths.

The prison system is a rather obvious location, CEO position... most people might not expect.

i was making a joke, all be it not a funny one about how the media will see two number and pair them regardless of ether's context.....

dont blame yourself, im pretty stupid. I obviously missed the joke.

perhaps, most US news doesnt focus on obama unless its criticism.

IF he is doing things correctly its usually considered business as usual and nobody speaks of it.

Our news is mostly fox news which criticizes obama every step, and MSNBC which criticizes fox news at every step.

Ravensmash

It's a shame that the only US news channel Sky offer us here is Fox. I've watched it before (I study Journalism so love news), along with CBS evening news (shown live on Sky News for some reason early in the morning) and the difference in quality of reporting is massive. I don't know how that's viewed in the US but Fox just seems to be people jumping on Democrats or attacking liberals (from what I've seen :P) There was a panel and instead of being balanced and a discussion (like good news should be - to give an audience a fair viewpoint) it was just everyone on the same side followed by lots of generalisations :P I do like Shephard Smith though.

i dont really know why and im not terribly proud but fox news is the leader in the US. And for the most part they only criticize obama. But all our other news networks are basically reactionary to fox news.... they wait for fox to spew Bs, then they call them on their BS and feel all proud that they are telling the truth, because they called obvious liars on obvious lying.

Then again i dont know why someone makes a hobby of following a liar around and calling his bluff. US politics are so stupid.

I guess if obama has a positive relationship with the UK it will probably be slandered as him being a socialist. Personally, i like it... strangely enough i like the idea of consulting with and having a positive relationship with the world... but thats why im a lunatic liberal. Real americans dont listen to statistics or facts... you go with you gut!

Daily show recently reminded me, but ive heard the 1% statistic before.

Which means some people here are statistically psychopaths. Have you never naturally cried or felt choked up during a movie? are you a psychopath?

the author i believe said corporate executives are 4x as likely to be psychopaths, so its not necessarily a detriment.

I don't know many people that would want to look like BL (if given the choice to look like anyone). That guy was f***ing tiny. ...now fight like him?...that is a different story

If BL is bruce lee, then if professional combat sport told us anything, its that hes a weak woman.

meh its true, i was laid off at the beginning of the recession.

Ive done alot of temp work way below my paygrade in the meantime to make ends meet. If you are unemployed most companies consider you toxic. Its always been sort of an unspoken rule, but with the recession where supply is way higher than demand... many companies have made it a literal rule.

i should say i was originally very fat, i dieted down to a very scrawny gross looking body type. Then i bulked up real hard for several years.

It all depends on your goals, but if you wanna look good it takes both.
