@redder1111 You don't know that. MS and Sony haven't even announced their new consoles yet, let alone revealed hardware specs. That is a pretty accurate description of the Wii U, though
@skiggy29 If PC elitists had their way, no one would ever be allowed to play a game on any other platform. Selfish brats. also, "make your pc turn your dog into a toilet bowl"? i lol'd.
@mario-nin-freak I think there will be considerable consumer backlash if the standard price of games increases to $70 or $80. I think it highly unlikely that this will happen. And like venasque said, it doesn't say anywhere here that the price of games will increase.
@onewithtoenail7 Current gen console hardware imposes limitations that have a real affect on the quality of the games we're getting. New hardware doesn't have to come at the cost of quality gameplay.
@Yomigaeru Devs shouldn't be forced to "work within the limitations" of the platform; newer hardware would allow for real improvements in gameplay, not just eye candy. For example, the fact that Battlefield 3 on console only supports 24 players, rather than 64, is due to hardware limitations. The 360 version of Minecraft having very small, limited world sizes, rather than the near-infinite worlds on PC, is due to limited RAM.
@FreakAche It wasn't that simple, though. Sometimes you would get forced off the track in ways that weren't your fault. Like, another car might force you off the track. Or maybe you knew the course well, but you were using a new car with different handling, so you weren't able to drift around a certain corner the way you normally did. In a normal racing game, moments like those would result in you smashing into a barrier and being able to recover, rather then getting lost.Don't get me wrong, it was a great game, I put countless hours into it despite this.
