Here's what Sony needs to do, in order to beat the 3DS: make sure that every big-name third-party 3DS game also gets a Vita release. Resident Evil: Revelations is right now being praised as a game that makes the 3DS worth having; Sony could deal a substantial blow to the 3DS if a superior version of Revelations was also released on the Vita, with the better screen, better controls that don't require an add-on, and more power for better quality visuals.
Wouldn't mind seeing Nintendo drop out. They don't seem to understand that gimmickry shouldn't make a console successful, success comes from creating a powerful platform that developers can use to create immersive experiences.
On the next Xbox, full backwards compatibility with original Xbox games seems unlikely, but compatibility with 360 games seems like a necessity; same with PS4 and PS3 games. People are not gonna be happy if they can't play Black Ops or MW3 or Battlefield 3 or Halo 4 on their new console.
That lower image is unfairly biased toward Sony. There's no Nintendo console, just 1 Xbox and 1 360, and 2 PS2s and 2 PS3s. It's as if someone thinks Sony consoles are dominating the market, and that Nintendo has become irrelevant. lol
Pretty curious what the name of the next Xbox will be. "Xbox 720" is lame and a little sarcastic, "Xbox 3" would cause confusion with the number 360, "Xbox Loop" sounds silly, and "Xbox Next" would only make sense as a code-name, as it would no longer be the next Xbox once the console is launched. Guess they sorta shot themselves in the foot calling it the "Xbox 360" instead of just "Xbox 2."
Kevin's entry for Crysis 2 is exactly what I hoped someone would say. It's an absolutely amazing game for what it is, elitist PC purists be damned. You, the reader, likely sold it 'cuz you didn't like the multiplayer. That's understandable, but it's your loss.
didn't Resistance: Fall of Man have a similar issue where the British were offended by a firefight taking place inside, what was it, St. Paul's Cathedral? they're only offended because of a place of religious significance being a featured in a video game; there wouldn't be any problem if those locations were featured in movies, as film is seen as the more "mature" or "serious" medium.
This guy doesn't seem to be aware that loot inside chests is randomized. I entered the same tower that he talks about here, and found two spell books, but not the same two that he found.
