[QUOTE="SquirrelTamer"][QUOTE="loosingENDS"] Dark Souls = a castle (crappy castle compared to boletarian palace) within a castle within a castle within a fortress. Then there's a little forest and another castle. That's pretty much it. If you think Demon's souls was just caves you obviously haven't played it. And no it's not near as dark and with the same solitude as Demon's Souls. Actually on MC they have the same score. Which is quiete amazing consider the crappiness of Dark Souls compared to Demon's Souls.loosingENDS
Actually Demons Souls had one castle in chap1 and a ruined one in chap4, both of which dont touch Dark Souls castles artistically imo
And then was mainly caves like chap 2 and dark areas like chap 3 and 5
while Dark Souls aside form having a far better castle design, also has far more unique themed areas like forests, huge cities etc
And the Dark Souls castle is not crap, it is much better than anything in Demons Souls actually
They're nice, just not as nice as Demon's Souls. And they said it was ope world and you can go to any place you can see. Turns out it was just a big lie, it's not more open world than Demon's Souls.SquirrelTamer
Well, your opinion
I like them 10x better than Demons Souls myself, because of the far better varity, art and design
Dark Souls has dark areas, castles and caves that Demons Souls has, but Demon Souls is missing the forests, lakes, huge cities etc of Dark Souls
Also it is indeed a vastly more open and non linear world than Demons Souls, you have probably not played it yet i suppose
Demon's souls has just as "huge cities" as Dark Souls. And it also has prison, shrine (a real one) and a mine. And it does have swamp lakes. So only thing missing is a big ugly forrest. No it's not more open or non-linear. Only difference is that you can travel between the worlds in more ways. Leading to the world looking really crappy since it feels like they just bunched 5 big castles and a big city together
