For starters if the PS5 is $100 cheaper than the Xsex then I can see a lot of people picking it up, myself included.

Plus, yeah I agree the Xsex will run 3rd party game a little better, and have slightly better detail. But it's not like it's going to be obviously noticeable. Like a switch TW3 vs PS4 TW3. The only way you would notice is if you had both set up side by side. Aint nobody gonna be doing that.

For me Personally it's Yakuza 0 or Bloodborne

PS5 Exclusives will be gorgeous movie games

Xsex exclusives will look and run damn good but be multiplayer focused and forgotten when the next "it" game releases.

I think the Pro and XoneX are great examples that more power at a higher price point doesn't always sell...especially when there is a cheaper alternative that provides a very similar experience (PS4 Slim and X1S)

We also have to remember that the economy around the globe isn't very good right now, I don't see a lot of people dropping $500 plus on a game console this year. At least not as many as in years past.

I think if the PS5 is $100 less expensive it will sell better, regardless of power. However I think if the X1S and PS4 get a permanent price drop to $199 I think those will be the biggest holiday sellers.

I think Sony may be worried about the COIVD Outbreak and how it's going to effect costs.

I think Sony planned on having a less powerful system so they could be $100 cheaper again, but with the Pandemic parts for tech have increased in price which probably caused Sony to lose their price edge

I find it funny when fanboys claim that one console doesn't have any games. Do they not realize that most people can't play every single game on a system in a generation? Heck I'm holding off on next gen for a year or two because there's so many games on PS4/Switch available to play.
