As I have learned no development studio will stay great forever.

Some were once great and head to what seems to be a long or permanent decline.

Ex: Bioware, Konami

Others were once great but die out and become great again. Ex: Capcom

Some started out pretty average and become top tier: CDPR

So honestly it's hard to say..right now I'd say

CD: Peoject Red

Rockstar

Nintendo

Capcom

Sony Santa Monica

Are my most trusted.

I can agree with this. I think it goes down to trust rather than "never made a bad/boring game"

RockStar comes to mind, but you can argue they don't release many games in a generation anymore and all their games are very "samey"

@locopatho:

Out of curiosity did those issues happen all at once? Or is it gradual over the course of the generation?

I have a PS4, both a Pro and OG, and they have been great pieces of tech, but once in a blue moon I'll experience a bug.

That happens with all tech

days gone for me. more like an 8 to me. few bugs but it's fun as hell.

I agree with this, and throw in Mad Max.

Both weren't genre changing or defining, but they were solid AA games

I also got Days Gone off PSN during the Spring Sale, and I am enjoying the game and wish I had a physical copy.

I've also bought a digital copy of Outerworlds, and I want a physical copy of that too.

But I'm trying to save money and the digital deals are hard to pass up......I may get physical copies of both once they hit the $5-$10 bargain bin

Fallout 76 exists. So does Wolfenstein new blood.

That's the thing, Bethesda has both incredible Highs (Doom, Prey, Evil Within) and some really bad lows (Fallout 76, New Blood)

And then some really average releases (Wolfenstein)

dont know how to feel about them

I think you can place blame on developers and publishers. I would love to see Kojima make something vastly different in the AA space like Zone of Enders or Crazy Taxi. I wish there was incentive to have big publishers, Like EA with Road Rash, publish unique, smaller, AA games.

But it seems like games from competent Devs all need to be the next Fortnite, or GOW.

I wish it would stop

@BassMan: Yes, all power was plugged in correctly. All of the Fans, GFX Card, HDD, and Motherboard had power lights or were running.

Likewise, when I put all my old stuff back in, everything worked. The CPU power cable is in the same exact place, both new and old motherboards are ASUS.

The only thing I can think of is a RAM compatibility issue, I don't have other types of sticks to test, a GFX card issue since it's on updated drivers and is older, but I don't have another card to test. Or the motherboard or CPU is dead, but the motherboard had lights so I don't think it is. So I'm leaning towards the CPU or RAM

I know my GFX card works because it works just fine with the original MOBO and CPU
