I've got a 50" LG 4K HDR TV. I don't know the model number, but it's one of the lower level LG TV's. I got it because LG is one of the few TV manufactures that makes a 4K TV with Component input. I like to retro game so some of my consoles need that input. HOWEVER, I think it got damaged in my move 2 years ago because the pixels are losing color at the top, so I'll need to get a new TV soon.

I have a Yamaha RX-V485 Receiver with a 5.1 speaker set up with Polk Speakers.

Overall I like my set up. Games look great on the TV and surround sound is awesome. I don't really have any desire to upgrade to a higher level in equipment.

This shouldn't be a fanboy issue. A game being ported after it's had its run on one system to the PC is a great way to increase the IP's fan base and generate more revenues. Days Gone is actually a good game - not great, but fun. The game sold extremely well, so not that they needed it but I think this strategy is good. Port games to the PC, after 2-3 years. I believe that'll be the norm next gen, excluding some particular titles, perhaps.

Days gone isn't even that old. Probably sold like crap.

It was the 8th best-selling game in the UK and 11th in North America for 2019, so it did not sell like crap.

I remember reading articles stating that despite mixed reviews the game sold well.

IF the rumor is true, it's a great way to give the game some extra legs and increase the chance for a sequel or give Bend Studios the ability to make another game.

I play online games more, as I use them as time to spend with friends who now live farther away.

I play at best 2-3 hours in a sitting 2 times a week.

I buy a lot less games now, I have other financial responsibilities and I'm planning for future responsibilities.

The Wii and PS2 prove that most powerful console doesn't always win. It's all about the games.

The only thing about the PS5 that could be bad for Sony is that it turns out to be hard to develop for, like the 360 vs PS3. If the Series X is easy to develop for I could see devs making it the lead system, and if it's hard to port over to the PS5 I could see the PS5 struggling. I don't think that will be the case, but you never know.

I see the PS5 vs XSex more like the PS1 vs N64. N64 you could argue had better looking games, but the PS1 was really close, and had some cool features devs could utilize like CD quality audio.

Does all this really matter though? You know there will be a PS5 Pro that's gonna be more powerful than the Xsex, and then there will be an Xbox Serious X Seriously

I think I have around 50 games for the PS4. I have 5 switch games not pictured, then I have a few digital games as well. I use to be 100% physical, but the digital deals are too good to pass up sometimes, and people give me PlayStation network cards for holiday gifts. I could easily get another 50 games for the PS4 before I move on to the PS5, there's a TON of games for it worth getting.

Why would any console owner not want a variety of games to choose from?

Xbox owners seem to be getting tired of just Halo, Forza, Gears with threads like this.

I think a better thread would have been "Which platform had the best overall gaming Experience this gen"

Which I would have answered PS4 or Switch. A slight nod to the PS4 with the available 3rd party games.

The Wii U should have been the Switch at the start, but due to the success of the 3DS, and probably the cost to actually make a switch at the time it just wouldn't have been smart.

So Bam we have the Wii U, a console that nobody wanted that had a gimmick that left a lot to be desired. (Although some games do utilize the Wii U pad very well)

@Macutchi: I agree 100% very well said. The game is missing a couple of key features that really could have pushed it to be a much better game.

To the Dev's credit, this was their first game where they created their own universe in a long time. For a while they were just making PSP/Vita games from other established franchises. (Uncharted and Resistance psp games, this studio's first game was BUBSY 3D on PS1, and eventually made the Syphon Filter games)

So the studio has some learning to do, but luckily for them it looks like the zombie fad was still kickin and the game sold well.
