I said it before and I'll say it again. Services like Stadia, PS Now, and GamePass devalue you're games TO YOU.

There's no value in a game when there's thousands to select from. That's why the quality goes down.

It's the same with Netflix and movies. A Blu Ray movie on a player looks better than streaming it on Netflix. But people don't care other than hardcore movie buffs.

Gaming is my hobby, I care about visuals, audio, and lag. I'll stick with Hardware and physical games.....and at least Digital Downloads

Hydro Thunder for Arcade Racers. No modern games come close to the ridiculous fun.

Yakuza 0 for open world games. The story is great, the side missions are whacky, and the mini games give the world life and substance. And it gives you a break from the dramatic story missions.

Bloodborne for combat. It makes other games lack of combat depth really noticeable.

I've got the regular one.

I like it, it's fun on the go but I find myself playing my PS4 way more.

I'm just not into hand helds.

The only games I played a ton are Mario Odyssey, Dead Cells, Mario Kart 8 and Astral Chain.

I got to play about an hour last night. Happy to say that the game feels like Shenmue. It feels like a Dreamcast game. That's a good thing.

I played for the same amount of time last night and yes the game feels like it would have released on the dreamcast or original xbox right next to 1&2.

The graphics are better, but everything else is almost exactly the same. It feels like you're playing a game released 18 or 20 years ago.

So if you aren't a fan of the series I would definitely skip Shenmue 3. It's not a modern game, it WILL feel like a 20 year old game, it does not compare to new games out right now.

If you're looking for a modern adventure game with a Shenmue feel, play Yakuza 0 (or any game in the Yakuza series on PS4)

But if you want a blast from the past and trip down memory lane for game mechanics long past, this will scratch that itch.

Because every game you just listed is about all that is good on the Wii!

Just kidding.....there's a few more than that.

But the Wii gets a bad rap because of the immense amount of shovel ware. For every 1 good game there's like 20 bad ones. (Yes I'm exaggerating but you get the point)

Plus it didn't get any major 3rd party releases, and what it did get was usually a watered down port.

And a lot of the games didn't age well, especially games with heavy motion control use. The tech was great back then, but compared to modern motion controls in the Switch and VR headsets..........it makes it hard to go back and play some wii games.

I hear people talk about wanting more realism in games all the time, and how they wished open worlds would actually let you go anywhere you see.

Well Death Stranding does that, it makes you traverse the terrain with tools or with just your body. And guess what, that traversal can be boring. But hey Gamer's ask for it.

I actually dislike Breath of the Wild because I found the climbing to be boring and not fun

I love Socom, it was great fun back in the day but I don't think the IP is as popular as it used to be. I just don't see it competing with COD, Battlefield or Ghost Recon. Wildlands PVP felt like a spiritual successor to SOCOM IMO.

But hey if Guerrilla Games can make it and it turns out to be good, maybe it'll have a nice little cult following.

As long as it doesn't mess with an HZD sequel I'm good with them pursuing a new Socom.

I just got the email saying the shipping label has been created for my physical copy!

I'm excited, but I also don't have high expectations.
