Without knowing the details of the error log, your system specs, etc. I don't think I can help you further. I don't have the game to try it myself. You can post these if you like and I can check it out for you. I'd also google your error and visit the website for FSX. I'd love to research it for you but I have to get to work soon. I'll check back here later tonight. Good luck.
[QUOTE="whgresiak"]Why in gods name would you but a gamepad to play a shooter on the PC? Thats what the mouse and keyboard is for, if you wanna play it with a gamepad get it for the XboxATLReppa770
Maybe because Halo PC goes online and the Halo for Xbox doesn't. After reading some of your last posts, maybe you should listen to your sig.
ROFL I was gonna say something but I figured I'd be nice lol. Thanks for saving me the trouble.
As long as the demo is a published game by a known developer you shouldn't have any issues. If it is a private developer or individual Indy game, or you are downloading from a unknown site it wouldn't hurt to take a minute and scan it. Worst case scenario would be that a virus was added by someone if you download from a private site or torrent.
Some .exe files show up as viruses on occasion, but if you know that the game is valid I wouldn't worry about it.
The only problem I've had recently was Project Snowblind which I got off of Steam. The game had Sony's securom protection scheme even in the demo which installs itself as a running process and it pretty much **** me off. Some demos especially by Codemaster have Starforce included, which IMO is worse than a virus.
[QUOTE="Stratacoustix"]Yeah it was...some people on Xbox Live have seen people playing Halo 3 Epsilon. Possibly a testing phase hence most games have Alpha, Beta, etc. If they had 5 testing phases...is that a good thing...or bad thing?-LegendaryLuck-In Halo's case, the more testing the better, the standards behind any game with the word 'Halo' or 'Master Chief' have immense hype and standards behind them.
I agree and I hope your right. I also this is partly why the Halo movie is taking so many sidesteps to development. I'd rather wait for quality, than to have expansion packs or sequals that are acutally what the original was meant to be, i.e. Star Wars Battlefront II. Even the developers said that Battlefront I was rushed to release with the movie and that Battlefront II was what the original was originally intended to be.
BOTTOM LINE
Last year a friend of mine was running into financial problems, needed a new job and had some vehicle problems. He told me he had to sell something to get come money and asked my opinion on wether to sell his Xbox 360 or his $1100 PC. I put it plain and simple that as much as we love the 360, if he sold his PC he had great games to play. But if he sold his 360, he still have great games to play, plus the ability to look for a job online, post his resume, etc. Plus he'd be able to do research on his car, so when he got the money he could save more by repairing it himself.
CPU, Graphics, Memory is all irrellavent to having a reliable PC that is as future preventive as possible. Even simple things like Adobe Reader and YouTube can tax out older PC's.
If you have the cash, do both, if not, your PC is not only entertainment, but a tool. And with a 360 controller, steering wheel, Guitar Hero guitar and the many 360 ports on the PC. My PC is almost the same thing as a 360 minus some games and Xbox Live.
Before you flame me I'm not a fanboy by any means. I've been gaming for 26 years on everything and anything, but this is the reality check for those of us that like to live in unreal places for hours a day.
