That's the Spartan in Dead or Alive on the 360 if I'm not mistaken. Notice the entry, the prepare to fight pose and the taunt text at the bottom. Expect Halo 3 for pc in about 2010 only for Windows Vienna, but it will run on WindowsME.

Seems how it's an original copy, and you registered, it could be a number of issues then. Check out what I said in the first paragraph.

Check you directories in C:\ and C:\ProgramFiles\Microsoft Games for previous installation files that could have been left behind. Also check out C:\Documents and Settings\"yourusername"\Local Settings\Temp folder and clean it out. Some Temporary files could be causing an issue as well. (You have to have your hidden files and folders visible to get there).

Other than that it's probably a registry issue, memory related, or an issue with the physical disc. Check your disc surface and run CCleaner on your registry to clean out information that isn't being used anymore.

Did you install the drivers? Does the USB port work with other hardware? Be more specific on what gamepad it is also.

Why in gods name would you but a gamepad to play a shooter on the PC? Thats what the mouse and keyboard is for, if you wanna play it with a gamepad get it for the Xboxwhgresiak

Halo on PC is just as good if not better than the Xbox version. Especially with modded content, Halo CE, weapons that Halo Xbox didn't have etc. Why not play it at a higher resolution with more content, and a better controller than the Xbox?? Besides, Halo has no online multiplayer unless you go through 3rd party programs that convert your connection into a virtual LAN.

If it is a new controller, I'd let it get worn in for a few days at least before you return it. If it is used, I'd question it's reliability. As far as the lag goes, Halo tends to lag actions regardless of input type but you could have some interference as well but doubtful. Make sure you download the newest MS drivers, they've updated the 360 controller drivers a couple of times and try again.

It's highly doubtful that a Torrent program would create havoc with a FSX install. More than likely it's an issue that when you uninstalled it left files behind that need to be manually deleted because it will not overwrite them. Or because it is requiring registration you may have a process running or registry entry that is preventing a reinstallation because you didn't register.

Also, you didn't register, for some reason, and you mentioned BitTorrent. It sounds like this may be an .ISO image or copy, I.E. a downloaded copy and I beleive that discussions regarding pirating, illegal distribution of games and any programs affiliated are against forum policy on any major gaming site. If this is the case, as much as I'd love to help you, you should take your question to the proper sites.

Yes there is a fix for the Madcatz version controller. I've been playing Madden 07 on pc for a year now using both Madcatz and MS 360 controllers, but first you have to change your drivers. There is an issue with Madcatz controllers being detected properly by the pc as a genuine 360 controller setup. Keep in mind I have NOT played Madden 08 yet, but this works for '07 and all other 360 ported pc games for me just fine.

BEFORE YOU START HAVE YOUR CONTROLLER PLUGGED IN

Go to the following website: http://xbcd360guide.50webs.com/download.html

1. Download the 1.Windows XP Xbox 360 Driver(Latest)

(Assuming that you are using WinXP...if not choose the correct driver package for your Operating System)

2. Download the 2. Updated Default Xbox 360 drivers profile. (right click and save as)

3. Go to your Control Panel/System/Hardware Tab/Device Manager. In Device Manager find your Microsoft 360 Controller. Usually listed either as a Microsoft Controller near the bottom, or in the USB Root depending on which drivers you have installed. When you find your current controller, right click and select uninstall.

4. After you have unistalled your original 360 controller drivers, install the XBCD drivers you just downloaded. After the drivers have been installed, reboot your computer.

5. If the drivers were installed correctly, you should now find your controller in Device Manager listed in the Human Interface Devices section as XBCD Xbox 360 Gamepad.

6. Now start up XBCD. After XBCD finds your controller, should be Gamepad 1 I beleive, click on the OPEN button and load up the XBCD profile you downloaded. Make sure that all of your buttons work fine, click SAVE and exit XBCD. You should never have to go into XBCD again unless you like fiddling with stuff.

7. Madden should now detect your Madcatz contoller properly and all of the buttons, receiver icons, etc. should be just like playing on an Xbox 360.

Please note that I've used this with Madden 07 and many other games, a few of which I've found don't work properly but not many. This is the only current way for the Madcatz controller to be recognized as a 360 controller. And you can thank MS for that for screwing up driver support. Probably on purpose to get people to buy their controllers but who knows.

Good luck and feel free to PM me or email me if you need more help.
