woah woah just because IGN gave SSX a fair review does NOT make them very reliable. They gave Sonic a 6.9 and it's one of the best wii games!
IGN's a good site, especially for their vids, but to think I would have held off getting Blur just for their opinion... well that's ridiculous.

I disagree, I rented Sonic Wii the other day, and I returned it early. I had the same complaints that Matt C. had about the game. It's fun, but it is ultimately got a broken control scheme, and I think that the level designs are far from brilliant. They have so many obstacles and enemies that you cannot keep up your speed.
I agree with the statement that the game's biggest flaw was that the world was huge, but there was nothing going on in it. Also, the bosses were indeed "meh" especially the one in the temple of time. Good grief that was an easy boss. Also, I was not blown away when I went into the temple of time. It should have had some resemblance to the one from OOT. It was cool at first, but then I realized that it only shared resemblance in the form of music. Finally, the Master Sword was way too easy to get, which pisses me off.
I liked the use of tilting the controller from side to side, but moving backwards is extremely irritating. The worst part about this is that several of the missions require you to collect things, and if you miss them, you have to go backwards. Well, the camera doesn't change at all, so you are basically moving backwards. The voice acting will make you throw up in your mouth, and the story is meh. The thing that I liked the least about it was all of the dodging and jumping you had to do. More times than not, you will get some good speed, and then they will throw a block you have to jump over, and it completely kills your speed. The best parts of the game are the ones where you have enough time to appropriately dodge, but you still keep your speed. Also, the game makes use of a sliding attack, but it doesn't work at all. I tried it over and over again, and I always got hurt whenever I slid into an enemy. Basically, it's a good rent.
