and i don't think sony will buy studios because of this either and certainly they have a catalog of games that can be revive that are not even at use.

From Socom to Syphon Filter, from ape scape to shadow of the colossus, hell even not for far away ones like war hawk, Resistance and many others.

Bruh this shit is embarrassing. None of those IPs you listed, even at their peak in relevance, were anywhere near as big as Elder Scrolls and Fallout, and you think Sony's about to bring those shits back out of the blue and its gonna be the next Uncharted?

Warhawk? Syphon Philter? TFOH 🤣

Socom? Literally the last TWO times they tried to reboot that franchise were duds. The only way that series will ever have any relevance is if they reintroduce it as a derrivitive Battle Royale game, or a GAAS battle-pass game like Rainbow Six Siege. The lane in the industry that Socom used to occupy is congested by MANY MANY better games.

Ape Escape? lmao.

Resistance? That series was a laughing stock last gen. And while I like the 3rd one, and ironically think out of the games you listed, that series is most overdue for a reboot and least likely to fail, lets not pretend Resistance was some super franchise.

None of these games are anywhere near as popular as Fallout and Elder Scrolls. Not to mention, MS currently has multiple studios like Obsidian and InXile already adjacent to Bethesda's space that they could hand those franchises to right now. Obsidian and InXile are the original creators of Fallout. They are experienced making the games Bethesda makes anyways. Some of them HAVE worked at Bethesda.

Lems on Spider-Man in Avengers: This is unfair, Sony's throwing their weight around! Everyone should have the same content!

Not interested in this game, but I saw Cows hyping it as a PS5 exclusive, and how only the super duper SSD, and Sony's superior development/engineering prowess of the PS5 could make it possible, and all that........ so this is funny 🤣

Cows cant catch a break today. 🤣

I swear if they buy fromsoft and transform it into RARE, i will quit gaming.

RARE is what is what it is because that is the path they want to take. Besides, RARE is grossly overstated as a developer.

Sure bud, Rare wanted to make avatars and Kinect Sports for years.

I rebutted this thoroughly 2 years ago

I told you all a month ago when Sony was running around to eveyone who would listen, throwing money around like crazy for timed exclusive deals, I told you that Sony was spooked. I told you that Sony was REACTING to something. I told you that Microsoft must have done something big behind the scenes that Sony knew about, and was reacting to.

I want that to happen for no reason other than to hear Cows REEEEEEEEEE. 🤣

Not really, From Software is an amazing studio. And the Souls games are some of the only games I chase platinum trophies for. But Cows REEEEEEEEEEE-ing is a fun plus too 🤣

Is that absolutely ANYTHING is on the table. There are no "rules" anymore. There is no conventional logic or wisdom we can use as precedent for what is practical and what is not.

Remember those rumors several months ago of MS buying Sega, or CDProjekt Red (that have actually been floating around for years, Phil's trips to Poland and Japan, Insiders reporting that "talks" have happened between both companies, etc.....) etc.......where everyone was naysaying that "it would never happen, MS would never spend that much money, they're too big" yea..........throw all of that shit out the window.

Microsoft could buy Sega.

Microsoft could buy CDProjekt Red.

The debate has been ended on whether or not Publishers are on the table for acquisition. (I mean, it already went out the window when Microsoft openly floated the $4 billion WB acquisition)

The debate has also been ended on using the SIZE of a potential acquisition (both financial size, and actual studio size) as the basis for whether or not an acquisition will happen or not.

This officially proves that there is nothing that is "off the table" when it comes to Microsoft.

Can't they create their own studios or have the ones they currently have pump anything good out? Idk, good for them I guess. Never thought I'd see a large publisher/console manufacturer buy out another large publisher.

They've done that plenty in the past couple years.

They've done it with Playground Games, built a huge new studio, built up a team of 200+ people, and are still mass hiring. They have like 80 open positions.

Just last week, InXile just moved into a massive new studio designed for 200+ people, and they're ALSO mass hiring for an AAA project.

The ironic part about them is, their game was probably going to be a "not Fallout" game set in the Wasteland universe, the same way Obsidian is making "not elder scrolls". Which makes this whole Bethesda situation weird.

And its even more puzzling considering MS already seemed like they were angling their own studios to "fill" the "lane" previously occupied by Bethesda in the first place, with Avowed and InXile's inevitable Wasteland universe "not Fallout" game.

As an Xbox fan, I dont even know what to think about this news. I didnt see it coming.

Its honestly hard to believe a console that is only like 9.2 teraflops needs to be this big. It even has 50 watt higher power consumption than the Series X. What could that thing possibly have inside of it that is using all of that power?
