[QUOTE="EdenProxy"] Um how ? infamous 1 provides great fun gameplay, a shocking cliff hanger, and excellent environments . wiis AA typicaly belong there like redsteel 2 and nsmb EdenProxy

the game was bloated with copy $ paste quests(they made another bus and are shooting everyone?!?!?), unchanging enviornments (err... the sewers... again?) LAUGHABLE good/evil descisons (hmmm help hanging man or leave him to die?????), Silly story, bugs galore and absolutly no consequenses for dying. I would have felt ripped off if I had not gotten it for free.

NSMB was WAY more fun and polished than inFamous.

How can you bash infamous 2s optional side quests as repetitive then claim nsmb isnt just a repetitive remake of past 2d super mario bros.

He is talking about the first game.

I can't beleive they gave infamous a 9.0, the game is a joke. Many Wii games that scored 7.5-8.5 are so much better.

I am a cow, and I thought the first game was terrible, but the second game is my favorite game this gen. The scores for 1 and 2 should to be reversed.

I thought the combat system was fine, and the enemies weren't too hard. I beat the game on hard without a sweat. The game was way easier than inFamous 1. However, I will agree with you that a cover system and the pulling enemies off ledges feature would have been cool.

The lightning tether was a pain in the ass and wasn't that helpfull. The Ice Launch caused me to never use the lightning tether.

I wish they would have wrapped up the story with Moya, Sasha, and Alden... what happened to them?

infamous 3 says hi:oops:

i have a feeling that they will tie up cole's story in the next, actually i have a few ideas of how they could make infamous 3

I think the series should end at 2.

Im positive Sucker Punch/Sony is not done with this franchise. There will not only be another Infamous for PS3, but I am 100% positive there will be an Infamous game for the VITA as well. Know how I know? Because cole is an extra character in the PSVita version of Street Fighter x Tekken.

If Sony/Sucker Punch were not thinking foreward with this franchise, they would not care enough to have him as an add in character in a game that is coming out a year from now lol. At the LEAST, expect to hear about a Vita spinoff Infamous title for probably next year. Its probably in development right now. As for Infamous 3? Sony has been consistent in pushing out all their franchises in 2 year dev cycles. It only makes sense to expect another game in 2 years.

Meanwhile, if a spinoff title gets announced for the Vita, I will buy one right then and there for that alone. Well, that and Uncharted: Golden Abyss (which looks better to me than Uncharted 3 to be honest).

What's with the whining about the Ice Soldier shotgun enemies, roll, blast 'em, or shock em, hell you have time to do all 3 if you see it, and they make it noticable.

The bigger enemies are annoying, but if you fight them like you are supposed to, it works well. The giant swamp thing has always been a pain, but if you ONLY use the electric bolt and plan where you move when it starts spitting at you, they're a fun fight. The Crusher's and the Hunters (I think thats what they're called) are a gigantic pain if you don't have anywhere to recharge or are out of electricity in general, but if you fight these guys more defensively, they're fun (except for that damn hive lord you fight in the middle of nowhere with only 2 generators in the area). The giant Ice monsters, its the same thing, you can't play offense.

I think the main problem people have with the game is wanting to show off how quickly they can eliminate the enemies you face, as is the point of most games. inFamous 2 makes you fight the bigger enemies defensively, rather than the Reapers, Dustmen, First Sons, Militia, Ice Gang, and the corrupted you fight in both games. It makes these enemies seem cheap, but they're fun if you know how to work them. Its a fault, but its not a deal breaker. The thing that killed it for me is that, minibosses require you to be patient, which I can't do after beating a game.

I feel like that's the biggest issue everyone (including myself) had.

MY ADVICE IS AS FOLLOWS:
New comers, fight the bigger enemies defensively, how the militia should be effected to fight you, and you will have fun and meet success.
Continued players, take your time, relax, the game is not speedrunable.

RandomWinner

Lol, the way I made this thread makes it sound like im making all these things a big deal. They are not. They are small things that should be improved in the next game.

You know what goes well with lem jelly? Not Jif...but a ps3. ;)

I don't think he's jealous of these embarassing flops that cows go to earth's length to defend.

You do realize not everyone cares as much about the console war as you do right? Some of us actually ENJOY playing video games (as well as other things in life). You mad your comment had no effect on me whatsoever? try it again on someone who is like yourself. And I lol'd @ saying "get on your real account". My account was made BEFORE yours was, yet you have 3 times as many posts as me. ;) Im sorry that I dont share in your passion for the console wars lol. You keep on fighting the good fight.

I've platinumed the game and honestly didn't have a problem with the enemies or target system (Your standard bolts are drawn towards enemies ever so slightly so you don't need a perfect aim, and then there's all the "Sticky" attacks too). Across both my play through's I don't think I died more than 15 times. The only area I had any real trouble with was the final boss on my good play through because I didn't realise you could break away from his black hole type attack using the static thrusters.

As for a better cover system... All I can say is if your spending so much time sat behind object's that the cover system became problematic, your really not playing the game right. Your supposed to keep moving, not sit behind a wall. It's not Gears of War.

I hope they beef up the mele system in the next game though, I loved the cinematic effects and the finisher moves, but I'd like it to be a bit more complex than just "Mash square then hit Triangle".

Narcadox
Im not spending time sitting behind walls lol. Im just saying having them make the cover system more relevant in the game would make the combat more structured. This is still my favorite game this gen next to Red Dead Redemption, despite these flaws anyways.
