As I keep saying, Nintendo needs to do the following.
1) Make the tablet controller an optional feature to reduce base console cost.
2) Cut the Wii U to $200 with a standard controller. I think the premium unit with Nintendoland should be $200, with the basic version being $150, at least on Black Friday. $50 more until then will probably move some units.
3) Make the tablet controller a $60 accessory, at least on Black Friday.
Releasing more games isn't going to drive sales, especially at a $60 price point. Nintendo's first party games tend to stay at list price for duration of the console life. You've got to get people to buy the console, to attract 3rd party support and to drive your software sales. You aren't incurring much of a loss if one game sale turns a profit. You are incurring a huge loss not having a customer base to buy your games.
Eddie, this article is missing something. Where's the dig, like "Ubisoft has not intentions of bringing these games to the Wii U" or "these games won't work without a Gold/Plus membership." I expect more controvesial subject matter from you Eddie!!!
Um, a DVR recorder that I won't use, is no incentive to get me to pay $5/mon to be able to pay more for multiplayer...ah flip it, MS doesn't understand math...
