You are not remembering history correctly. KOA was heavily advertised by EA. All games that are advertised are done in short time windows, generally 60 days or less (30 before / 30 after). AAA games that don't hit 5M plus sales in the first month or two are considered failures...you don't continue pumping advertising dollars into them.
Have you been hanging out with the Gieco Caveman under a rock recently? Ouya isn't going to be a graphical powerhouse, it might not even surpass the Wii in terms of graphical capabilities. There's no disc drive, and no frills. This system is basically a souped up smartphone with a controller.
Studies have conclusively shown exposure to violence desensitizes the viewer to violence/violent acts. Exposing children to violent images probably affects their mental development negatively. However, I've not seen any studies as to how the great evils of pornography and violent imagery may actually benefit society. I would be willing to bet the proliferation of pornography has dimished the number of rapists in society and violent video games have curbed the inner bloodlust of many humans (which subsequently has reduced the number of murders, shooting, stabbings, etc. over the years).
My take, they'd rather lay people off than change the title of the game. While the game sounds interesting, I think that title will hold back sales (no matter how good the game is).
Why settle for $39.99? These two games were overproduced and the inventory isn't moving. Both will be below $19.99 by Christmas. Only lollipops buy games for $39.99 + taxes.
The second amendment clearly states I have the right to bear arms. However, I need to protect myself from the government and assualt weapons aren't enough. I need to be as armed as the government, therefore I need nuclear weapons. Take away my right to bear games and I'm blowing everybody up!!!
