I will be getting this over the new COD for sure. I like how they are going to be intertwining and handeling the missions, its not going to be like playing a michael bay movie. Also i am digging the attention to detail they are putting into the game

Well i just watched the demonstration and it is a 100% rip off of nintendo, but they seem to be providing logical support. Socom 4 actually looked very playable with the controler, i doubt ill pick move over dualshock, but its great to see motion controls used on more then mario and mini games like the wii has shown thus far. What got me excitied is how easy they said it was for devs to implement it, it makes me think that sony is learning from their mistakes with the ps3, which is very hard to develop for. I hope they apply this same kind of mentality for their next console and make it extremely dev friendly, that is what makes better games.

clearly he means there is alot more new info about halo reach that hasn't been released yet.lawlessx

This. But there are still going to be fanboys comming in here taking it out of context, believe that he actually means they are revolutionizing the FPS market and gamming will never be the same.

Besides the features which are just extras imo, the fee is just to use the service. People need to realize you are essentially streaming games like Crysis on nearly all high settings, that takes some very strong servers to do such a thing. Your paying to connect and keep those servers running at high frequency. This isnt like the servers PSN, XBL, or Steam uses. It is essentially like having an amazing rig at your house that can play crysis maxed out, but you are playing the game on your Mac at college 3 hours away, the game runs on your computer but you play it on your Mac. With Onlive the game runs on their servers, but your playing it on your computer.

I see where the TC is going with this and i agree 100%, GOW is a blatant ripoff of Star Craft. I cant believe it took this long for someone to come out and say it.

Wait, you have to pay the 14.95 monthly subscription as well as rental fees on a game to game basis? Talk about a bummer. :?

I might give it a try if they get a better and more diverse library and some more PC-exclusive titles on there.

Sky-

Your streaming high quality games to any run of the mill PC with great results, this isnt XBOX live where your paying for features that should be free, that cost goes to the servers which will be streaming you games like crysis at high quality. I myself wont be getting this because i have a PC capable of running any game out there on high settings already, but if this picks up i may consider buying Onlive instead of a new PC next time around.

Ive always been fond of the star rating system, giant bomb does it pretty well, and most movie sites use it.

http://www.giantbomb.com/help/ scroll down to the second question and it elaborates on their rating system. With numerical ratings its always so spotty, even in .5 increments. Hell there are people on system wars that make 8.0's seem like bad games, thats insane! Even lettering systems are better, it narrows things down much better, unlike numerical systems which are way to broad.

LMAO yeah that was great. Though I still think that Valve games should be for Computers only. I just don't see them in consoles like on the Xbox 360 for example.

humber_matus

Never! I'd be heartbroken if Half-Life 3 didn't make it to the 360, or at least some console, I loved Half-Life 2 on the 360 Orange Box. :(

who cares ... any real valve fan owns a decent enough PC to play their games the way they are meant to be played.

I agree on this one. I couldnt imagine playing any valve game on consoles. Ive seen videos of orange box on 360 and it just looks so slugish and stiff, really doesnt do the game justice. It would be like playing a RTS made for the PC on consoles, it just doesnt work.
