I work at a game retailer and we just absolutely cannot move this toys-to-life s***. It just doesn't sell. Over saturation combined with high pricing and gimmicky tactics (packaging Boba initially only with the set and then releasing him separately?). Parents try to sell the figures back and we can only give chump change for them because NO ONE BUYS THEM. I'm drowning in power discs. The game has no worth outside the figures really, and so they desperately needed to have been priced more reasonably and some of them needed to have been designed better and the overall gameplay experience needed more substance to keep children entertained, or to keep the adult collectors invested. This is a shame all around, and the devs don't deserve this, but Disney/Activision have once again put short term profits ahead of long term gain and brand longevity. Smh.

(Well hopefully Skylanders gets canned so I can get that inventory space back...)

@Barighm: No way. I'm in Canada at the moment and their stuff is so much better than what's offered back home in the states. Canada's still got all DC's stuff and Marvel's, and a great many more newer, big-budget movies and good older movies--it seems like Canada even has fewer trash, filler movies (your "huge" library doesn't count if it's all garbage, Netflix...). I suppose it's all a matter of opinion on what one enjoys, but from a strictly quantitative stand-point, Canada's got more good, new movies and shows compared to America.

Why does American netflix suck so much?

Canadian netflix has so much more good stuff to watch. Netflix just keeps buying rights to all the s***ty low budget stuff?

I'd be more inclined to get this if it launched at a reduced price, like $40. We all know it's Far Cry 3 and 4 with prehistoric paint and isn't a new game.

Despite how I'm really not excited for this game, Ubisoft is doing a good thing here: they're making sure their servers can handle the pressure of the launch. I think it's commendable. No other AAA is doing server testing to this degree. They want to make sure their product works.

(Of course, this'll all be for naught if the servers fail on launch.)

@wkadalie: First one was a closed beta, so fewer people playing, slightly less stress on the servers. This is an open beta, so now more players have logged onto those servers and more strain is applied.

@digitm64: Which I found incredibly silly at the time. Now upon release, it's plain to see why they pushed it out so quickly. FO4 could've used more time in the development pipeline as well, if only for the settlement building, which feels lifeless and tacked on, with no real impact to the game and no emotional connection to the settlers (I was so looking forward to it too). Just like how Todd Howard promised "living economies" for the towns in Skyrim. Don't get me started on how disappointing the linearity of the quests are and the sheer dullness of the characters in general. Bleh.

@Trev9421: So why do you play role playing games then, if not for the characters, story/questlines, etc?

If you think I'm the only person that picks up Elder Scrolls/Fallout for the lore and story and quests and chance to create a character and play through that story the way I want to, you must not be aware of the games' innate premises. Or their target audience. Or their genre in general.
