Let's have some decent MP with large maps, at least 16 players. Considering the amount of RAM the Wii has, it should be easily feasible and MAKE SURE TO USE TEXTURE COMPRESSION!
medal of honor 2 only has the online thing going for it...graphics are an epic failure...
if metroid prime 3 can create astounding look/environment, why couldn't EA?
and don't tell me there isn't enough dvd space because all the dvd space were occupied by the online networking code...i'm a software developer, i know what i'm talking about

MP3 looked alright. The environments could've looked better, too much graphics processing power was wasted on the bloom lighting (just like Halo 3 wasted alot on HDR). And the bilinear texture filtering was pretty annoying too. Kudos though that the game ran at 60 FPS, however still no shaders to speak of in the game and being alien worlds, they built the game around that parameter too. Conduit is interesting because of the vast amount of resources being poured into the visuals. I'm very interested to see how well they pull it off, especially if they manage to equal Halo 2 on the Xbox, then that would be great, and the game looks insanely fun. It may look alot like Half Life, but that's a good thing, because that game still is amazing after a decade since it's inception. Hmmm a rebuilt Half Life for Wii would be awesome too, Black Mesa: Source mod should be put on the Wii! XD
The memory cards use the same technology: flash memory, but packaged in a portable card format for easy transporting, they are seperate in purchase. Google is your friend. The Wii has I think 2 ports for SD memory cards to expand the data holding capabilities, however, they are not seen as an amalgamated (total) part of the system, they are seperate, you have to copy back and forth from the SD cards and the system to transfer stuff.
If Nintendo can just make an update to enable the use of USB external hard drives, then there wouldn't be no need for them to make thei own hard drive. WR_Platinum
But that would be no profit for them, and Nintendo can't have that. Nintendo wants to make money.
dude, MP3 pulled WAAAAY better graphics than this game (granted its still in development) but the gameplay does look generic. the poster you showed looks like a wannabe Half Life 2 (and anything that tries to beat Half-Life 2 at its own game will fail...unless its Half-Life 3). its good to know that at least High Voltage is putting an effort into their graphics engine (or at least the advertisement of it) but that doesnt make it good. The graphics are unimpressive esspecially when stacked up against MP3 or SMG (hell, even SSBB). However, the saving grace for me will be if it has multiplayer (local and online, but it only has local i'll be cool with it) and if the gameplay is varied/wii controls are sublime. but as of right now, it does not look like a purchase and does not look any different than the constant stream of boring FPS's flooding the video game market today.

MP3 contained little or none of the following:
Bumpmapping
Normal mapping
Specular mapping
Reflection surfaces
Refraction surfaces
Basically MP3 was all polygon and texture with bad texture filtering and way too much bloom lighting. I'm not necessarily saying it looked bad, but so much of the graphics was wasted on that god damn bloom lighting and the devs themselves said they didn't want to push the graphics, as it wasn't their main focus. The Conduit is actually trying to something pretty significant and rare across the board of Wii titles, hell even in light of Gamecube titles too. Yes I can't help but think of Half Life with the biological weapons, the similar alien types, and a mysterious main character (at least he talks, unlike Mr. Freeman) but is that a bad thing really? No, because that's a bad ass game, and this game looks like alot of fun too. The Wiimote is a great FPS controller, it's just a shame that the Wii was a truly underpowered console from the start. I'm just hoping that The Conduit really is the game that shows the Wii could equal/exceed the Xbox.
