Light side

Dark side

"Fear is the path to the dark side. Fear leads to anger. Anger leads to hate. Hate leads to suffering" And no games.

Patches could be released just like with the 360 and PS3. Problem is that there is just so little storage space on the Wii, and it really makes me sore that Nintendo did all these things to appeal to "everyone" but not to the more hardcore or regular of game players whom would be audience of games with features on more powerful systems. Considering the amount of money Nintendo makes on selling a console itself, it would've been nice had they put that cash into some more powerful components and more storage space. If there is an update that is totally needed, it's an updated for SD cards as well as USB external drive compatibility to be part of the "amalgamated space" of the system instead of dragging data around.

[QUOTE="cole_793"]Yes, the 4850 is definatly worth getting over the 8800gt. As far as the 9800gtx+, if you can wait another 3 weeks/month and have an extra $50 or so bucks for that then go ahead and get it. I'm buying me a 4850 for my new comp im building.PC_X360
You know the 4870 will be faster than the GTX 280 right? May I know you pc's configuration?

The 4850 was coming rediculously close the GTX 280 and 260 in alot of benchies, I expect the 4870 to close the gap even more. Though they still have one big issue in comparison to Nvidia's cards: not enough Texture Mapping Units.

480p on a set made for displaying 1080p will look naturally look blocky. Besides, this is the Xbox version of Doom 3 we're talking about here, play the PC version on max settings at a high resolution and the difference is night and day in terms of quality.

It's interesting to see the Pacific theatre this time, but honestly, I'm kinda sick of the WW2 era weapons. Modern era would've been nice to see again except maybe with a different scenario.

Suggestion: Make the game more pretty or show a new video.

As of now, it doesnt impress me like first party titles. Other than that, the controls sound promising, so far of what we've heard. Do good on the online mode as well.
Haziqonfire

It's obvious the game isn't completed considering the lack of quality in the polygonal models and lack of shaders on them as well.

[QUOTE="Rocky32189"]

[QUOTE="TacticalElefant"]Nintendo would probably ruin it in some way. Tone down the violence, language, etc. This game belongs in the hands of a compitent and mature developer.x_SuperMario_x

Nintendo has published mature games in the past. Eternal Darkness comes to mind immediately. They don't develop mature games, but they do publish them. Also, if Nintendo isn't competent, who is?

exactly. well said. i don't think anybody matches Nintendo's competence. Look at their success over the years. And if Nintendo is helping High Voltage, publishing The Conduit might be a good move for Nintendo and High Voltage.

Nintendo does push out quality games, so they could definitely help The Conduit.

Competance in regards to this kind of game that is clearly aiming for a specific niche since Nintendo has made this major move towards games that appeal to the masses. Right now HV is trying to pump out a high quality FPS, not necessarily something every Wii owner will want or care for, especially a family with kids. I'm not saying that Nintendo can't push The Conduit, I'm not saying that Nintendo can't make a good publishing candidate either, but I prefer third party devs from not getting deviated or side tracked in any way by a first party publisher. Frankly I hope they make as violent and pushy a game as possible, just to kind of piss Nintendo off, but they'd still feel obligated to allow to be released on their system considering it's now an important title that should help to serve the Wii systems current bitter taste when it comes to graphical capabilities and FPS titles. And even still when it comes to maturity, it's not about more adult titles I'm talking here, it's the relationship between Nintendo and 3rd parties that Nintendo still doesn't embrace. Nintendo is very controlling about high profile titles on their system. It's strange, it's almost Nintendo allows shovelware on the Wii to make themselves look better in comparison to the ****** devs, yet forms no relationship with 3rd developers that actually make good games. They push Mario, Zelda, Metroid, more stupid Mario spin-offs and their 2nd party devs, but no one outside. If I had a publisher to recommend, I'd recommend probably some one like Namco Bandai so the game can permiate the JP market as well as NA.

The first Rainbow Six Vegas on 360. Unfortunately the PC port was crap, with none of the persistent MP awesomeness.

Shame on you for not beating the most important part of the package! I beat it the second day I had it.
