Microsoft would be better off investing in indie game development, creative talent with ideas to reinvigorate the industry and create groundbreaking new games. CoD and WoW have nowhere to go but down at this point.

An integral part of the video game experience, video game music, died in the late 90's. Gaming hasn't been the same since.

I'd rather see a new F-Zero with flat tracks like the original SNES game.

I bet Gamespot editors get a chuckle every time they include the Snoop Dogg interview in an article relating to Tekken.

Japanese developers have been pretty weak this gen but Namco Bandai is an exception. I'll be looking into this one.

@tmacman The industry clearly isn't what it was in the 90's when it comes to innovation and choice. There's less and less variety with each passing year. Eventually a breaking point is reached, when nobody wants to buy new games anymore because they're not really new.

@Iridescent406 My guess is that game development goes in phases, one being to have the single player campaign fully playable. Once that's done they can focus on bugs, multiplayer and polish. The impression I got from the article is that they're simply pointing out how far along they are in the project, to get the fans excited.

@Iridescent406 It seems to me like they're just trying to make a point that the game is near completion.
