Wow. I cannot believe this. I'm watching the Teen choice awards right now and Miley Cyrus just performed "It's a party in the USA" and she acted like a total stripper. First off, she came out of a foam trailer. WOW. Then as we all cleared our eyes after an epilepsy-inducing light show me and my sister had to gasp. Miley Cyrus was doing the unthinkable. She was weaing a fur coat (not too bad) but under that, a leopard top with a VERY deep V. Thank goodness her hair covered everything. On top of that her shorts were so short you could've sworn that she was riding a wedgie. When the song began we even saw the backup dancers. All wearing deep V tops or bikinis. Yea, i know. Horrible. As the song kept going, some guy wheeled out an ice cream truck with a pole on it, and Miley Cyrus immediately started pole dancing. I think i might die. And to think she has her own TV show and video games (yea, that's probably the only correlation to Gamespot this has). I shudder in horror after thinking about her "tribute to Britney Spears" that's scheduled to happen after the commercial break. If i don't come back alive, remember me fellow gamers. It's so horrible i might just have to NOT WATCH. Oh gosh, it's back on.

Ever played a demon?
by Tee-3 on Comments
Must of us love to indulge in Fantasy roleplaying games, where the main character must thwart some sort of evil or demon (you know, Sin from FFX or Diablo from the Diablo games), but i ask you, has anyone every played a game where you actually play as a demon? Fable doesn't count. There are very few games out there where you actually get to play as the demon, aspiring to some sort of apocalypse. One example of this is Starcraft, while you play as the Zerg. Have you ever thought that it might be fun to destroy the world, instead of protect it? There are very few games right now that actually let you do things like that. One example i've found is Overlord, although i've never played it. The point is, the video game industry is dominated by games in which you fight evil, and it's getting old. The gaming companies should, in general, make innovative games instead of conforming to a certain guideline. Developers should focus on intuitive gameplay. Oh and, anyone know when Prototype 2 is coming out? :P
Tell me this: Is the Xbox360 worth it?
by Tee-3 on Comments
Hey everyone, Tee 3 again. Recently i've been having issues with not being able to buy the most up-to-date games. I own a DS, PS2, and a Gamecube so i don't have any of that Next Gen stuff (unless you count the DS, but the DSi just outdated it). At the end of the summer i'll be getting a new laptop so i guess you can consider that Next Gen, but it doesn't have any of that trophy/points stuff unless you make a Windows Live account. I've tried, it's messed up. Anyway so, i don't make much money but if i worked my butt off i'd probably be able to get a 360 by the end of next summer. This is great and all but i ask, is it worth it? I've heard things about connection problems and rings of death. Is a 60G pro worth the $300? And will it become outdated before i get one, or possibly will the price come down? For those of you who have a 360 or have the insight to know whether or not it's worth it, please tell me in a comment. Thanks.

Starcraft dual pack
by Tee-3 on Comments
Well last night i went to Target and seeing as there was nothing there and my brother and sister were both getting ten dollar items i decided to check the computer isle. I did a quick rundown to see if any good games that were cheap lined the shelves. What do i find? The Starcraft battle chest for $20. 2 games, 2 guides. 20 bucks. So seeing as i would only have to pay $10 i thought that was a good deal. So now i'm playing Star Craft. Can anyone tell me if there's a random map mode, or do you just have to play campaign missions? Anyway, yea. So i'll be rating and possibly reviewing it soon. Thanks for reading.

Online Gameplay: The Howto
by Tee-3 on Comments
The peak of any great war game is the online co-op and versus play. Most people who have played online have to agree with me on this. Sure, trudging through virtual deserts in a computerized simulation of WWII is fun but when you add other people it gets alot funner. However, it gets alot harder and more disappointing as well. In most online games there are two kinds of people. The "pwners" and the "pwned". Pwners kill people nonchalantly, utilizing a variety of weapons and tactics. They are either really good at the game or really focused on winning. If you are one of these "pwners" make sure you're having fun instead of just sniping off the noobies. For the pwned, don't feel too bad at getting killed alot. These people have experience. If you're really getting tired of getting killed on the battlefield, play through the story mode on hard. It'll help. Anyway, back to my point. Some people online are real jerks. The kind of people who you wouldn't want to meet in real life. They try to kick people for killing them, or change the field or gameplay when everyone else is enjoying it the way it is. These people are best ignored, and if they get too annoying just leave. These textless battlefields full of guns and vehicles can get a bit quiet, making it easy to hear any conflict. Put on your headset and it all changes (that is, if anyone else has a headset). People giving battle plans, swearing at each other, and generally adding to the chaos are all onboard the voice chat boat. Sometimes it's best to just give it a rest and disconnect the headset. Don't get mad at people for killing you because it's part of the game. Fight tanks with bazookas. And please, take a break from time to time. We don't want your brain frying because you enjoy online play so much. Have fun gaming,

Depicting Ultimate Power: Failure in Games
by Tee-3 on Comments
Most games have the "ultimate bad guy" right? Atleast most fighting, RPG, and shooter games do. These "Ultimate Bad Guys" are supposed to be the epiphany of evil (or good), but are often just plain annoying. For instance, take Xemnas of Kingdom Hearts 2. He seems like your typical oh-my-gosh-its-the-guy-in-the-black-cloak big final boss right? Well that final fight we're talking about? It actually takes place over about 5 (or 6, i lost track) battles. Yeah. First you have to battle his giant robot friend, then you battle him in king form, then you battle his pet dragon, then you battle him in king form again, then you battle him in final form. Dang that is 5 battles. Guess what? His health remains pretty much the same in all the battles. The robot can be killed by a bit of button mashing, and the dragon is just a play on of the space minigame from earlier on. Why do we have to fight him 5 times? The point is, making repetitive boss fights does not make a boss "hard", it makes them "annoying". Now im not saying you should just put in one fight where the boss is so powerful that he can kill the players in one hit (darn you Sephiroth!) but atleast bulk up the health bars a little bit. Theres a difference between button mashing and sitting there all day trying to defeat a psychotic cloak wearing freak. Game designers need to find better ways to induce the fear that final bosses should cause.
Number 1: Give them some flashy attacks. Going back to Xemnas, in the final fight he has a move where he grabs Sora (the main character) and starts draining the life out of him, all the while cloning himself so Riku can't save Sora. This is kind of cool, but they could've added some glowing effects or something to where he was killing Sora. Bosses should have flashy big attacks that are fun to watch but fun to avoid at the same time.
Number 2: Bulk up health bars. Final bosses with 10 hit points aren't a challenge, and leave the player in a "What the heck?" kind of state for the next few hours. Bosses need to have a decent amount of hitpoints to challenge the players, but at the same time not so much that it takes days to kill him. A decent balance of power is required.
Number 3: Cut out repetitive battles. No one wants to fight the same guy 5 times. Eventually it gets boring. Even with his pet heartless dragon. If needed bosses could have 2 or 3 really tough henchmen to send out before the actual battle. That makes it more interesting.
Number 4: Make a good reward. Players hate it when the final boss gives you just a stupid cutscene and the credits (i know i do!). Every good final boss needs a decent reward and endgame. Take the Pokemon series for instance. When you beat the elite four and the champion not only have you collected enough experience to make Gary gawk but you have also become the world champion, gotten into the hall of fame, gotten a star on your trainer card, and unlocked the endgame. And for those of you wondering what the heck an endgame is, its the part of the game after the final boss where you have little things to do like the Battle frontier. Also, a save point after the final boss makes people happy. We don't want to have to go back to our last save point to enjoy the game any more. I am not beating Xemnas again for the simple reason that there is no save point.
I hope that game developers can make better bosses in the future. If anyone has any good bosses they'd like to share, tell me who they are, what game, and what made them so good. And i don't want "Iggy Koopa!" because all you had to do was jump on his head. And throw him into lava. How pleasant. Anyway, thanks for reading everyone and keep on gaming!

ROMs and Sibling games
by Tee-3 on Comments
Well considering i actually took the time to sit down and find all the ROMs and software i got, i think i deserve to add a few ROMs to my game list, especially considering how much i like several of them. Also, i'm trying to get a list of games my sister and brother have to add them to my list, considering they're actually my families property so they are actually part of my game collection. If anyone can reason me out of this go ahead. Thanks everyone :)
Online PS2 play
by Tee-3 on Comments
Hello again everyone. I just recently figured out how to connect my PS2 to the internet. Wooh. I think with my first day on Call of Duty: Big Red One online iv pretty much earned a bad reputation with half the community for some reason... (maybe it was that guy i shot in the back with a colt 45 thinking friendly fire was off...) ah well. If anyone has Call of Duty: Big Red One or Battlefront (1 or 2) and they're connected to the internet let me know because i'd love to play with you online :) By the way i hope they make Final Fantasy Dissida on playstation 2 o_o
