In the cutscenes in World in Conflict, with a little more drama added, I could see that being made into a Pearl Harbor like war movie.

I could also see GTA San Andreas becoming a quite good action thriller. The characters and the storyline, with CJ trying to find and get back his brother from a corrupt policeforce, is definitely something worthy of the silverscreen. But I am not sure it would be possible to include the GTA humor without making it feel cheesy..

A new Brothers in Arms is coming in two months, haven't played the first one, but, judged by the scenes showen on E3, the new one looks like a really great realistic tactical shooter, where you have to use real life tactics to take down the enemy. If you cant wait for that you can pick up the first Brothers in Arms, it got 9.0 on gs, it is a couple of years old, but the graphics in it looks a little older.

I don't know about Rainbow Six. To me, even though you have control over two npcs, it still feels pretty much like a regular FPS, really not the much tactics in the gameplay.

It looks really innovative in bringing RTS to the consols, where the voice command feature probably will make it a lot easier to control the game. I dont see it as big thing for PC, where mouse control works perfect as it is, and the voice command probably just will be a gimmick. PC was not their main focus with this game, the main focus was to bring the RTS experience to the consols, and I think they gonna succed at that.

Call of Duty 4. Short and sweet. Swiftly done with it, but for the time it lasted, damn it was great.

Hmm... This really doesnt matter that much, cause developers dont care to make any games for anything but dx9, and i dont think a new one will changes that the least. They use dx9 because apparent that is easier when doing it for consols too. I think we will have to see a whole new generation of consols before we will see developers make the jump to a new directx, and that is not gonna happen the next 3 or 4 years. Ofcourse there is still the possiblity that some that dx10 or 11 will be used in pc exclusives, but we dont see many of those either anymore, except for strategy games, which generally isnt that innovative when it comes to graphics, and even strategy games are becoming more common as multiplatform.

So I wont say that is it Microsoft's fault that directx 10 havent been (and directx 11 probably wont be either) that big of a success, it merely just an other side effect of the downturn for PC-game developement, we have seen the last couple of years.

The most obvious choice would be Mass Effect, which is a great new game with a very interresting story.

But if you dont like the sci-fi universe and you want a MMORPG you could go for age of conan, which IMO doesnt have as great a story, but it has a really fun combat system, where you kinda combine a fighting game with MMO. And then it got all the multiplayer stuff where you can pvp or team up with people.

Some great RPGs coming soon could be Rise of the Agronauts and Fallout 3.

I think it is nice that they turn up the light in Diablo 3. In the old Diablo games I always had to turn of all lights in the room and roll down the curtains to even have chance of seeing what was going on on screen, because they had made so dark. I think it is still possible to get the same spooky feeling from the old games, with a brighter game.

Hmm... I thought you said you had a 7900GT. But with a 7600GT I think it is both your GPU and CPU there is the problem. Right now you should be able to play like 70% of the games out now on a mid-low setting, but that percentage will fall drastically on games coming. I think if you are going to upgrade your PC you should go for upgrading both CPU and GPU. With the GPU you got now, upgrading your CPU only will just result in a bottlenecking on the gpu. To pair with the Q6600 posted above you could go for a 8800GT which all in all will be around a 400$ investment. If you dont have the money for that now, then save up. You might even see a drop in the GPU prices within the next couple of month as the new GPU generation gets on the market.
