how much do you have to pay for the AoC subscriptionkoolmodean

15$ or 13Euro(=20$!) or less per month. 1 month free with the game.

Improve any link on the way will improve the end result. You will be able to get a lot better sound with a better soundcard even if your speakers suck. X-fi cards still got a lot of stuff there improves 2.1 or 2.0 sound. You dont need top of the line speakers/headphones to get a noticable improvement.

Anyone got a game they really like, but there got a bad review by Gamespot?

I got one, i really liked Casino Inc and it was one of my favourite business sim games, because it had all the good basic compents for that kind of game and so much more than just building a buisness in some great missions where you with unorthodox methods should take out your opponents. But GS couldn't handle it all, so it got 5.2...

Anyone else got one ?

(This thread is not meant to criticize Gamespot in any ways)

I think it has to do with your GPU, but I dont know how, because my brother got kinda the same problem in AoC, with the same GPU as you in crossfire. Whenever he is in dungeons and such he gets like 100+ fps, and in the cities where there are loads of players it dips to about 10-20fps. I dont know how it can be, but it might be the driver, because both he and other players in game with 3870 has had some minor problems. They are probably gonna fix some of it in an up-coming driver.

Edit: He is using 64-bit ultimate too, it might be that and the driver there is somehow bugging together.

Because AoC is more value for the money. Crysis had a 10-12 hour campaign, you could maybe play that twice, and then some multiplayer, i bet the average player has used about 50hours on that game. Funcom has estimated that the average AoC player will be playing for just about a thousand hours over 10 months. Even though one would have to pay more some more for the subscription, (50$ + 9x15$= 185$) it is still way cheaper per hour gametime compared Crysis (Crysis: 50/50=1$/hour. AoC: 185/1000= 18.5c/hour).

I think it is somewhat easier to level in AoC, and there are much less of those kill x of those or bring me x of those. But beside that, the leveling is pretty basic MMORPG stuff.

I dont find ganking to big of a problem, at least not for classes with good stealth abilities. And because you dont ress at the corpse you wont get corpsecamped in here, like you so often would in WoW. And if someone is ganking ppl at the graveyard you can tell them to stop it. And even if you dont like the risk of getting ganked from time to time you can still pick a PvE server instead. But i would diffinately say that the ganking and griefing is no where near as bad as in wow.

Sometimes one, sometimes the other. I think rpg's are better as multiplayer, because as single player i always wind up feeling kind of lonely. Shooters and rts are good both ways, singleplayer where you can get in depth with a good story, and in the highly competive multiplayers where you can polish your skills. and then there is a whole world of great games there never would work as multiplayers, like economic simulators and adventure games.
