Dont know why everyone wants these nVidia cards, when you clearly get more value for the money with ATI's cards. With a 8800 or 9600 you get 600-700mhz, but with a ATI card at the same price you get 750-850mhz. I think you should go for a 3850 or 3870 which you easily can get withing your price range.

Yea, 47 is the best. Altair is just a brutal mindless warrior plowing through enemies with his incredible swordsman skills. While agent 47 is a cold-hearted evil genius, always finding a way to blend in the crowd, using his intelligence to strike his target like a venomous snake when he gets the chance.

I would be so disappointed if they reviewed the game without even trying some of the end-game stuff. They should at least get to level 80, and try make a city, participate in a pve raid and a pvp raid before coming with any conclusions about the game. What is the point of review a MMO based on how the leveling is, when most gamers end up having used most of their time in the end-game department.

I would not expect a review before july, it took also like 1½ month for them to review Pirates of the Burning Sea.

I think the game is somewhat cpu bound. I don't have the game, but the weekend beta ran at around 40-50fps on average (with some dips) on high with 2xAA. I have an e8400, 2GB RAM, and 8800GT 512MB.Baselerd

Nope it is all about the gpu, i got e8500, 4gb ram and a 7900gto, overclocked as much as i could, and i get a framerate between 15 and 25.

But yeah i agree with TC that it AoC got pretty steep system requirements compared to the graphics you get. I think the the only game there is harder to max is crysis. And there are many other games there looks better than this. But I hope and believe that it will get better when they release the directx 10 graphics. and hopefully that wont cause the system requirments to go even higher.

1min 10sec before it's done opening everything goes to idle speed. Mainly because dreamscene takes some seconds to get running.

Found some previews on some of the end-game stuff: PvE Raid and PvP, Seige Battles

There seems to be a lot of new stuff in AoC end game compared to that in WoW, most obvious the city building and seige combat. But i doubt that the PvE raiding content will be as extended as in WoW now. But maybe they will add some more as the time goes, WoW also only had like two raid instances to begin with.

I think you still will be able to use them, but i dont think you will be able to use all the speed in them, so you should maybe look around for some cheaper ones.

Those two games are just like the total opposite of each other. WiC got a fantastic campaign, with great cut-scenes and voice acting, you dont have to build bases, it is all about fighting and manageing your troops. In Sins you dont get a campaign at all, just skirmish and multiplayer, you wont really have to control the battles, because the computer can do that pretty much on its own, in stead you have to control the empire, choose when and where to strike, find out how to get money and resources, and how to distribute them between developing technology, creating arms and developing planets. When it comes to graphics WiC can really use a lot of systempower and get really nice looking, while you hardly need anything to run Sins, and most of the game is just watching a lot of small dots moving around.
