You're doing it wrong, Capcom.

-slap slap slap-

Having just read the current story about Resident Evil 5 on the main page, I have to say I'm dissapointed. Don't get me wrong: I loved number 4. It just seems that Capcom are taking everything in Re4 and reskinning it. While co-op is always good, I don't want to order around an AI partner when my friends aren't playing. Hopefully this...Sheva...will be less stupid and whiny than Ashley was. The scenarios they described were lifted almost entirely from Re4. Pushing cabinets in front of windows? Come on guys. It seems the more I hear about it the less excited I get. Stay in the sun too long and you'll see mirages? What?

As promised, here's Seamus McFury's punching bag, The Colonel.
THHHE COOOOLONNNEL!

Here comes the Throw Down

-Clothesline, coming at ya!-

Alright, gaming blog today. I'm going to try to categorize my blogs from now on, but don't count on it.

Anyway, Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe is shaping up to be a good game. I've always liked Mortal Kombat, in addition to DC, so this was a dream come true for me. Only thing better would be a Marvel vs. DC game...I've always thought Joker could thrash Dr. Doom if he wanted...For the naysayers out there, the ones with green tweed coats and a steaming mug of some bland kind of coffee. I can hear them saying "Pffh. There is no logical way that any Mortal Kombat fighter could defeat Superman." Shut it! That's why they're making the game! To see them fight!

Rock Band 2 looks nice as well. I considered picking up Rock Band for the Wii, but why bother when the sequel is coming out in September? Though I'm looking forward to Guitar Hero World Tour, mainly because of the more realistic drum configuration, I might get RB2 if the GH4 drums can be used for that. We shall see.

Hey, are you counting on me categorizing the blogs? I told you not to count on them! Count your blogs somewhere else!

That's all for today. On the title, there's a great song by Exodus called "Throwing Down". The music video is a great throwback, check it out on Youtube. Also, remember 9-Iron Fury? Well, I made a Micro-Hero of the protagonist, Seamus McFury.

You like?

I'm working on another one for one of his enemies, The Colonel. That's all for today, see you in Blog-Land.

Annnts!!!

-Six legged scavengers must die!-

Ants. They've invaded my home. Everywhere, forming little lines of EVIL! Why, oh why? Well, I've got a surprise for them.

I'll kill you with this, then I'll kill you with fire!

Leatherface, coming at ya!

Also, I'm going to be seeing No Country for Old Men soon. My friend said he liked it, so yeah. After that it's V for Vendetta, then Scanners.

So my friend let me borrow Call of Duty 4...

-...and?-

...And I finished the campaign today. No, I do not have Live. Wish I did. :( I absolutely loved the game though, I really cared about the characters, more so than any other games I've played. The Ghillie suit mission was especially intense. One thing, though: in the last mission...
GRIIIGGS!!! NO!! WHHHHHHHHHHHHYYYYYYYY?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?! I COULD CARE LESS ABOUT GAZ BUT GRIGGS!!! CAPTAIN PRICE!!! WHHHHHHYYYY?! oh cruel fate...why...?
Happy...6th?

-I refuse to jump on this fancy bandwagon!-

Hey everybody. Nothing really going on right now....4th of July was pretty uneventful for me, yesterday I played some COD4, Gears and Rock Band with a friend. All great games. I've decided to wait for COD:WOW to come out, instead of buying COD4 this late in the game.

Also, remember all those weird, semi-useless NES accesories? Like the one where you put it on your head, then yelled in it when you wanted it to fire? Yeah, things like that. One day, I'm going to track all those down and make a cyberpunk-mystery movie. I figure, if there are new movies that relish in old style sci-fi, why not make new movies that relish in kind of old sci-fi?

That's all for my odd ideas today, see you in blog land.

Call Me Snake

-Solid or Plissken?-

Hey there, I'm back.(There were some children in the corn, I had to clear them out of there.) Just wanted to share something I made. I took the original cover of Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty and played around with it a bit in the Photobucket editor. Here's what I made:

I like it, but that's just me.

That's it for me, and now here's Roy.

They Called Me Mr. Glass

-Samuel L. Yeah.-

I watched Unbreakable last night. Very enjoyable, I reccomend it to anyone that enjoys comic book movies. Sam's last line in that movie will stay wiht you for a while, if only because it's fun to say to random people.

"Hello sir. Would you like to open an account?"
"Sure."
"And what would your name be?"
"They call me Mr. Glass."
"?"

In other news, The Bronx Warriors came in the mail. I wasn't expecting much, so I popped it into the Xbox and watched. All I can say is..wow. Never before have I seen a movie that's bad or rips off other movies in so many ways that isn't a "-insert- Movie". The basic premise of TBW is that in the year 1990(they made it in 1983) the Bronx has become such a haven for crime that no attempt to restore law has been made, and the Bronx is a no man's land. I can't really review this movie properly, so I suggest renting it and watching it with two or more friends, like MST3K. I can, however, attempt to transcribe the movie's first lines.

Gang Leader Trash(yeah, that's his name)"Ya know dis is da Bronx."
Anne:"Yes. I know."
Trash:"Ya kan git kyll'd in da Bronx."
Anne:"Yes. I know."
Trash:"Whi ya com tooo da Branx?"

Here's an idea. If you're ever tempted to watch The Bronx Warriors, rent Death Wish 3 instead. It has Charles Bronson, cooler gangs, a certain "Mr. Widley", bazookas, bikers, a man named The Giggler(they killed the Giggla!) and smooth jazz. Seriously, it's awesome.

Raining Danger

-Not Blood. Danger.-

Quickie blog here. I'd like to inform you all that I've discovered a site that allows me to host my webcomics. Meaning, I can use that site to reach new people and get my comics noticed. Since I know some of you enjoy them, I'll give you the link:

www.8bitglory.smackjeeves.com

Just go there and you'll find the first 12 comics uploaded. A bonus about them being there is you can now rate them, which I'm sure would give someone some sort of gratification(when I rate things, I feel important. Because I am.)

That's all for now.

Escape From...the Bronx?

-Not as exciting as New York, is it?-

Hello again from the Land of The Zen Man(Population 1.7). As some of you may have deduced, I'm a fan of movies. But not just normal movies, action movies. Especially low budget, dirt crusted gems. I was scouring around on Netflix and looking at movies similar to Hot Fuzz(if you haven't seen it, go rent it now. I'll wait.) Eventually I found my way to The Bronx Warriors , and added it to the list because of the title and cover alone.

1990?!

As you can very well see, I'm really in for it this time. Be back later with impressions of this work of art.

Lookie here! Three more issues of 8-Bit Glory!

Kitty!

No refunds.

Take it or Leave it.
